Gamespot reports reports that Windows PC players for Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch now have access to the game’s first post-launch character in Ana. Ana is now playable with a big patch update that makes numerous balances changes to the overall gameplay. Ana was officially unveiled earlier this month. The full patch notes for the new update are available at this link.
Ana is a support character who utilizes a long-range sniper rifle that can be used to both destroy enemies and heal allies. Also, she’s the mother of another character in the game, Pharah.
The new patch brings a number of changes for the game in terms of balancing out the characters. Zenyatta reportedly receives a buff with the new update, and D.Va now has a new way to utilize her shield and improve her Ultimate technique. Mercy, McCree and various other characters have also been tweaked for the update.
Blizzard has not yet announced when the update featuring Ana as a playable character will go live for Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Since it is now live on Windows PC, one expects the update should go live for the console versions very soon.
Overwatch is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
