Bethesda Softworks has just launched a free DLC update for The Elder Scrolls Online in Homestead. This marks the first major DLC release for the game this year, and it’s available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners of the game.

With the new DLC, players will have the ability to buy apartments, homes, manors and even in island in Tamriel. The homesteads are available for in-game Gold thorught he Crown Store and they can be customized with more than 2,000 decorating items such as furniture, décor, books, barrels and a whole lot more.

Players will be able to pick from almost 40 instanced homes to choose from. Each one is styled for one of the game’s 10 playable races. Each player can get one for free through an initial tutorial quest. After that is completed, players can move in and own multiple homes of various sizes that can be shared across all in-game characters.

After they buy a home, players can then use the Housing Editor with more than 2,000 customization items. This includes furniture and other décor that will be available through in-game vendors and the Crown Store. Players can also craft these items using existing crafting skills.
