Battleborn Beta Reaches Over 2 Million Players! Learn the Details Here!
It looks like Battleborn is already off to a great start based on the reception from its open beta session. Gearbox Software announced today that over two million players took part in the Battleborn Open Beta. The recently released open beta featured two Story mode episodes, two Competitive Multiplayer Modes and 25 unique heroes to try. Here’s are some additional numbers that the Battleborn community completed from Gearbox:
- 1.1 Million Competitive Multiplayer matches
- 1.4 Million Story Mode episodes
- 27 Billion Shards collected
In addition, Gearbox confirmed that the company will share a SHiFT code on May 3 for three golden skins, one for ISiC, Benedict and Shayne & Aurox. More details on how players who purchase the game will be able to redeem the code later on.
Overall, this is great news for Gearbox and the future of Battleborn. It appears that Gearbox could very well have a big, new franchise on its hand that’s about to take off and become a smash hit. Battleborn’s humor and comedy certainly provides a lot of appeal to the overall gameplay experience.
Gearbox will also have Battleborn to demo at PAX East this weekend. Battleborn finally arrives on May 3. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
