Ubisoft Looking Into Punishing Players Who Found an Exploit for The Division’s Incursion Mission! Find Out the Details!
It seems that some players have discovered an exploit with the new ultra hard Incursion mission for Tom Clancy’s The Division, which is dubbed Falcon Lost. Now Ubisoft has become aware of the exploit, and Ubisoft community manager Natchai Stappers commented on the situation on the game’s community forums. In addition, Stappers claimed that players who used the exploit will be punished.
Stappers wrote:Â “We are working on fixing the exploit. Obviously, it is against our Code of Conduct and the team is looking into what can be done in terms of punishment for those who have exploited.” There is no word yet on what punishment Ubisoft has planned for players who utilized the exploit, or even if they will take action at all.
Earlier this month, Ubisoft laid out a system for what would happen if players were caught cheating. The system entailed that being caught cheating the first time would cause a three-day suspension for a first-time offense. A second-time cheater will result in a permanent ban from the game.
What’s interesting is that Gamespot specifically reported on this exploit and even released a video describing exactly how this exploit works and how players can pull it off. So does Ubisoft consider the Gamespot players to have violated the Code of Conduct policy, and will they be punished as well. It will be interesting to see how Ubisoft handles this exploit, if at all.
The Division is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
