    That actually happened awhile ago, not recently. Also it was only a 6 months ban and not a permanent one or at least one with a rollback like it should be.

    Don't think anyone will particularly miss the botters tbh, their pretty much up there with the RMT traders for least wanted people encountered in an MMO

    Banning is a very good thing. I do hope though, that the main thing is that since they detected 100K! people cheating, that they are actually improve their ability to block all of those programs and future programs like them.

    They'll find a way around it again. Thats just the nature of it all. No company can create a unhackable service, it just is impossible. If it can be put together, it can be ripped apart.

    Well if people were cheating, they should be banned! They should be thankful it wasn't permanent, and that was a smart move by Blizzard I must say. Playing along so many cheaters is ridiculous. Why can't people just have fun while doing what they're supposed to? What is cheating going to do for them? Make them look cooler, or impressive I guess. I want to throw something! :confused: haha

    This round of bans is different than typical botters.. these were really players with their real accounts. Normally when Blizzard bans botters, it is just a cycle thing.. and those gold farmers will be back soon enough. But this was against people who were botting mainly battlegrounds.... and with their real accounts.. Which is probably the reason Blizzard made it a temp ban rather than permaban.

    This was a much needed banwave as botting in WoW was getting to a ridiculous level. People would openly bot in battlegrounds and use bots to fish, gather materials, level their characters, and other things. It took away from the experience for people actually playing the game and gave an unfair advantage to people using bots to make money.

    WoW has been mass banning for eons. This isn't new news. The number is also not that big of a deal, since they have been banning thousands and tens of thousands every few months. For some reason, this news makes me want to subscribe back to WoW. Alas, my wife told me we could play again after the Summer.
