    First of all , sorry my poor english , im braziliam .

    When Moscow was bombed by the missiles the army oppened the metro for some civilians , this can be seen in the short film ´´enter the metro`` , and a woman gives the baby to the officer , maybe this baby Artyom ? And if his mom ,in a really small chance mutated into one fo the dark ones and this is the dark one that save him on the great door ? Yeah , im know...:derp:

    No, this is not Artyom. "Behind the Scenes" narrator implies that it is not the same character:

    "... The Ranger costume is based on the Artyom character ... Towards the end of the film we needed to tie in the idea that perhaps this Ranger was also the Baby ..."

    Komodo's correct, plus if you've read the book you would have known that Artyom's mother died in the Metro when Artyom was a little older; Sukhoi saved him from a horde of rats and they ended up at VDNKh.

    Here in Brazil its hard to find the book ... Ive see it on the net but on russian edition only :s
