I remember playing this game during its open beta phase till the early stage of its full release. A friend is urging me to return, and I figured I'd create a thread to spread the Aika love. :D

Aika Online is in a word, "epic". At first look it seems like another copy of World of Warcraft. But Aika Online has unique gameplay components . Aika's uniqueness makes for a highly enjoyable gaming experience. And guess what? NO OVER POWERED CLASSES! The leveling system is also well balanced, so you don't achieve maximum level after a week, nor must you level for 6 months to get there. And then there are the cute Prans, one of the main attractions of the game.

What's good about this game is there is an actual end game objective with Aika Online. You don’t get to max level and the game is over, or all you do is grind to get better gear (there is no real grinding in Aika!). Once you’re max level, it’s like a whole new game begins. With the capture of relics (people from your nation get together in MASSIVE amounts and raid other nation. Once inside their temple, the nation attempts to steal their relic/s), you are able to gain certain bonuses. Things like 10% more experience from killing monsters, which you can get 4 of (this is when you jump on another character and level!), bonuses to health, spell points, all of your attributes etc. There are also end game dungeons, which you can have to 24 people in at one time. Much like other MMO’s, these are mostly used to find better gear for yourself, so you may then grow stronger.

There is also the fact that there is no F2P MMO that gets updated like Aika. This game is constantly evolving and according to my friend, still continues to get content updates, and without the 15 dollar charge every month since it's F2P. You’re saving yourself 180 dollars a year.

Aika Online is both unique in it's PvE, as well as much envied PvP. It's a gaming experience difficult to describe to anyone whom has not yet jumped in. With all that said, as reference to the other thread, I am not quitting but simply taking a long break from this game as I am going to return soon. :)

I never played Aika Online, but I have heard of it maybe I will look into the game, but eventually we all need to long breaks from MMO's at some point.
