Alliance or Horde?

    Which one do you prefer? Why?

    Do you think there are any inherit advantages to one side or the other?

    I personally am on Horde at the moment. Back in the day I played more of Alliance. I think the faction mattered much more back in the day, but nowadays it hardly makes much of a difference. Except, of course, on PVP servers.

    Yeah, I don't really have much of a preference, and I've switched between the two regularly since I started playing WoW, much like most of the people I play with. It's not a huge difference maker, really.

    It never really made a difference to me. In fact, I liked the variety, and would most certainly give it a chance to try out all of them. Of course, this is all time permitting.

    Horde seems to have more interesting racials that appeal to me since I'm a raider. I also tend to get along better with people who play Horde side. I played Alliance at first, but the players on Alliance didn't seem to jive with me so I switched to Horde and never looked back since then.

    I think I prefer the horde for a pretty simple reason: I like being the anti-hero or the bad guy. To be honest, the hero thing is overdone in games. I'd rather see the other perspectives.

    I've always choosen alliance for the heroic aspect but because the starting zones and cities just catch my eye more then horde.
    However..I love the races horde have to offer and if I could somehow become a undead gnome I would so do it!

    I've always played Horde. I personally just like the races more on the Horde side compared to the Alliance side. I also like the idea of being the "bad guy!"

    However, on the server I play on, the Horde sucks at PVP! :p

    In Warcraft, the only 'bad guys' are the Demons who have successfully infiltrated and controlled both sides. The Horde aren't the 'bad guys'. They are in fact, just another side of a grand story. The Alliance aren't the 'good guys'. They are in fact, just the other side of the same story.

    Personally, I chose Horde and specifically Tauren because I meshed with them the best. They remind me of the First Nations of Canada. I felt that the Alliance are full of pretentious self-righteous pricks such as the Humans.

    Awe, that's kind of too bad. On the other hand, I've kind of grown attached to the horde as it is now. I'm sure as time moves on, I will get to know both sides better but it's likely I'll mostly prefer Horde in my future endeavors.

    Yeah I like Horde better myself and I'm glad the Horde had the integrity to kick Garrosh Hellscream to the curb, otherwise we wouldn't have this lovely WoD expansion to play! ;)

    All kidding aside though, the horde may be uglier and grittier, but they are more "real." I think players can connect with the Horde more and it's a more mature story that they bring. This is probably also why people who play the Alliance side tend to be a lot more immature and annoying.

    The faction is not what i care about, the team and players on my team are more important than the faction. However I do think the alliance are better at AVand IoC, the Horde rules most other Bgs most of the time. But in the end the strenghts and weaknesses of the faction are outweighed by the actual strengths and weaknesses of the people controlling them.
