Am I the only person that almost never changes my skin?

I think I've used two different skins in the year or so that I've played Minecraft. I would love to personalize one but I don't have the slightest idea how. And when I've gone searching for one, I just find a bunch of repeats, nothing that actually stands out to me.

So the question is, have you ever personalized a skin, if so, how?
And if you haven't, where do you find the skins you use?

When I first began playing I bounced around between a few different skins but eventually settled on one and have been using only that skin ever since. My favourite skin is a highly detailed wood elf girl wearing a cute green bandanna and green and brown armour. I found the skin online but can't remember the name of the site at the moment, however it was one of the large, popular skin sites out there.

Years ago I used to enjoy creating pixel art so one day I do plan to customise my own Minecraft skin -- I just haven't had the time lately!

I looked into skins when I thought of trying MP servers. My goal was to find something simple and easy on the eyes. The thing I searched for was something to do with cats and found one that resembled a white cat, though I have been mistaken for a Yeti before.

I have considered changing skins, but it has become my identity known to others on the server as "hey, it's that guy, the white kitten thing".

I've actually kept the same custom drawn face and helm and just edit skins' bodies over my skin. Now I have a folder named "Closet" that contains all my custom skins. So in theory I don't change my skin I just change my "clothes." To edit a skin, open it up in Photoshop, GIMP, or another image processor and just change the parts you want. Another method is through Novaskin (google it); its a skin editor web tool that lets you easily personalize skins.

I have a friend who does this for me because I'm simply terrible at these kinds of things. But even if I have personalized skins, I don't change that often. Like the guy above me, I usually just change clothes, not skins.

I do this often with most games that I play. I just can't be bothered to change their clothes, either. It makes it more like The Simpsons where they always wear the same clothes, except for special occasions. I guess it's easier to keep track of the character this way.

I do not really care about what my character's outfit is in most games. I just leave it on the default outfit and pretend I am a beginner, but when the time comes to shine, I am a legend, or at least I hope I am.

I don't change my skin, but I'm just being lazy... I mean, I'm never going to see it. Well I guess in the item screen, but I just get annoyed with some of the skins that people choose.

You are not alone friend, I have used the Ronald McDonald skin since the day I started playing. I love it as people get creeped out by it and it's just so stupid because everyone wants to punch him in the face. I know some people that change their skin every week, seems pointless to me.

I think for the entire time I've played Minecraft (3 years) I have only changed my skin about 8 times, when I learned how to make my own skins I made a Pigman in a suit, and thats the skin I use right now.

I actually dont even know how, Ive played for a long time Ive just simply never googled it, Im always in first person so what my guy looks like is kind of irrelevant to me, but its one of those things I tell myself I will do eventually.

I have never changed my character skin! And I've been playing on and off since launch. That's odd though since I sure love texture packs.

I've never changed my skin either, I feel like Steve IS the Minecraft character that you play.
You wouldn't play a Zelda game and not play as Link.... At least that's what I think.

I don't really care much about skins. I know that Minecraft is a game about creativity and "expressing yourself" but honestly I don't think that skins are an important part of minecraft. I don't hate on people who like changing their skins, but...

I don't usually change my skin. I chose one about a year ago, of a slime in a suit, then about 2 months after that I changed it to a squid in a suit, then around 2 months ago my boyfriend changed my skin to a cat, but I think those are the only times I changed my skin since I bought the game.

Your not the only one! At times when I have spent so long on a server or a single player world that I wear armor almost all of the time I'm playing, I don't even notice the skin that I'm wearing.

There are people on my server that seem to have a new skin every few days, but most people keep theirs for a few months at least

For the longest time, I didn't even know that changing the skin was possible. So, my character has been wearing a tuxedo fro a very long time. He is a very classy gentleman! I wish there was a way to make it more custom, but can't really complain as I usually just play in first person anyways.
