oh and this When I first heard about this, I’ll admit, I didn’t have a problem because I thought it was just another mode of the game.. something they slipped in for a little extra fun or incentive. It’d be like a normal game, where it had their usual modes and if you really wanted to test yourself you bought the DLC mode which made it unbearably hard. There are a few games like this, though I cannot name them off hand.

Nope, as you pointed out, this game is SO popular with the fan base that they actually USE this mode in their advertisements quoting it as “The way the game is meant to be played.” If it is the way it is meant to be played, why isn’t it in the game day one. If it is such a staple of the game, it should be default to be in there.

I am curious if the console versions will be like other “limited editions” where it is another form of antipiracy/antiused games by being a code included with the first run release and not offered in every subsequent release. You know like Dead Space 3 and other AAA “limited edition” released games as of late.

Seriously, this is an outrage to the gaming community as a whole and needs to be rebeled again. I’m not saying don’t buy the game, but wait a few weeks after it is released so that you don’t fall under their “release week sales” bullshit which they use to tout how well the game they did. Hell as Joe stated, wait for a steam sale!
Show them you’re outraged! I am saying log onto their forums, and any other forum you can find and shout your outrage in their face to see how many fans will not stand for this fucking bullshit…

Ranger mode was a DLC for the first game as well.

2.9% of players have finished the game in Ranger mode.

Your reasons to make a scene are bad and you should feel bad.

It's lamest pre-order bonus I've seen yet, but everyone there is overreacting like they took out halve of the game.

 

Most people didn"t even complete ranger mode, or even the full game.most people who are complaining don"t complain about hundreds of other games who do the exact same practices for dlc, but metro and deep silver get all the attention, smh.

One thing is for sure that they cannot back out and make Ranger HC a timed exclusive as they are breaking a contract they already made with gamers with the LE "wording".

Gamers can be tough when they want to be. After Black Ops I drew the line when Treyarch never fixed Lag Compensation. In another forum we made one of the largest threads discussing the issue and many people did the same.

Josh Olin who was the CM at the time said "It was all in our heads" and look today how many people still complain about Lag Compensation? :lol: I'm glad he left (sacked from) Treyarch, that comment wound up so many people. Huw really needs to think carefully about his words, why he couldn't go with Maurice's explanation which would have been the perfect answer is mind boggling.

Nevertheless, I've not bought a COD game since and voted with my wallet.

If this practise is something you feel is Deep Silver's fault then do the same and wait for a Steam Sale; Buy second hand or Pirate.

I for one will not think less of anyone for buying second hand or waiting for a Steam sale, but if you pirate don't give publishers ammunition for DRM.

 

Although i sort of agree with joe it is the viewers that worry me for they think because of RHC its "okay" to pirate it when it's not. i ask you what is the difference between RHC and a online pass? ie none infact i would argue that RHC is a better alternative than locking people out from the other half of the game

No, it's Dimitry's book and that's how he wanted it. But if you see that women in the game are either

used as sex objects
or Anna who eventually seduces you

then you can see why people from the West think that way. It should have been explained somewhere during game play and not have Survival videos or a book being a pre-requisite for understanding why women are portrayed in this way.
