    I've played my fair share of Lord of the Ring games, many of which were awful to mediocre. But how is the current Lord of the Rings online game? It's free-to-play correct? I'm a big poor these days and I'm in need of some free mmorpg and I'm a huge fan of Lord of the Rings and really want to play in their world.

    I have the same questions.

    I've dabbled in MMORPGs but never got too involved with them.

    I noticed that LotRO is free now. I'm currently downloading the game client and it's going to be 2+ hours.

    So is the game worth the wait to play?

    EDIT: I have the game downloaded and have started to play. I'm enjoying it a lot! Really makes you feel as if you're in the movies/books but playing out different story plots! I'll check out the other threads and try to get on a server where other TORC players are on.

    I'm really liking the game so far and would recommend it to any LOTR fan. I didn't like a lot of the other games like Conquest etc but I'm liking this one so far. We should try get a group together!
