Any of you play with gun mods?

    Have you guys tried using some of the gun mods floating around? I'm thinking about trying them out but don't know which one is best. Which ones can you guys recommend me?

    I'd recommend trying MineZ that's quite good, think Dayz but with Minecraft mixed in.

    I haven't personally played any gun mods but wasn't there a standalone game released. By this I mean a game that is basically Minecraft but with guns. I thought it looked pretty cool but I didn't buy it. I might go look into that game now though, I believe it's on steam

    I've never really been interested in gun mods as they feel like a poor fit to the game. To my way of thinking, if you want guns in a game, Minecraft is a poor choice. That said, MineZ looks cool and I may break my trend to try it >_>;

    I play with my friends on my Flans Mod server sometimes (it's hosted on a Raspberry Pi, laggs a bit, but well, lol). This makes really fun, specially when they don't know you're in vanish (invisibility mode for OPs) and just kill them from the top with rocket launchers everytime. May seem like cheating, but you don't want to know what they do to win - compared, mine is absolute fair play :p

    To be honest I personally have not tried out a gun mod for Minecraft. I just never thought those two things would go well together. However I have heard a couple of good things about them. I don't know, I might give it a try one day, I could enjoy it!

    I don't like guns. I prefer to use the bow and the sword, since they are more attractive (in my opinion). I don't even want to waste my time downloading a mod for guns.

    I don't like gun mods for Minecraft because they ruin minecraft gameplay for me. I prefer just using arrows and bow, swords and fists.

    Yes! Try the portal gun mod. The possibilities are virtually endless. I made a big pillar with a stone hinge on top, then I made two portals. One at the top and one at the bottom. After that I found a cow and pushed it in for the giggles. The cow kept mooing and mooing as it fell into the portal over and over and over and over. It was hilarious.

    Much more stuff to do with that portal gun, it really comes in handy if you want to travel long distances as well. Just shoot one portal on the ground, and one portal at the edge of the map. Or as far as you can see. And woosh, you're there. Magic.

    Agree
    But this! I find portal quite boring but Minecraft Portal is just epic! there's nothing better than creating your own world then using protals to have fun in it.

    I don't have any mods installed at all. I enjoy vanilla Minecraft the most. However, I just heard about the portal gun mod and I might give that a try.

    I haven't used a gun mod, unfortunately. I'm one of the ones who feels like it should be more about exploring and crafting then about violence. However, you could always check Planet Minecraft to see what mods they have!

    I don't play with guns, I feel like it modifies the game into a way that the game isn't meant to be played.

    I tried the gun mods and thought that they were awesome. However, when I used them they were very buggy and sometimes unplayable. I think that guns would be a cool addition to the official version.

    I'm not big on gun mods. I don't think they have any place in Minecraft because it goes against the spirit of the game. Still, the mods that are available are pretty good for what they are. There's no denying that.
