    Smite is a MOBA that sets itself apart from the others by being 3rd person. To be honest, I hate MOBAs... but somehow, I love Smite. I don't know if it's because it's 3rd person or the fact that you have to actually use skill-shots (aiming your abilities), but it's addictive and I love it.

    Does anyone else here play it? What are your favorite gods/goddesses? Least favorite?

    The one I absolutely hate going against is Hades... that move where he drags you in and obliterates you is so damn OP. My favorite to play is Apollo, he's quick and ranged and has great mobility. :)

    I've seen people play smite on twitch and honestly it doesn't seem that interesting. It feels a little awkward to play since I am used to the more standard mobas .

    Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. However, if you're used to "standard MOBAs" I'm not sure how it can be uninteresting to you considering it has the same exact goal as other MOBAs. You go down lanes or jungle, destroy towers, and defeat main boss at the end. I think the third person brings a different perspective to the table instead of just being another LoL clone.

    I played it back in the closed beta for a short period of time, but didn't really enjoy it. I prefer the standard MOBA, but I might check it out again after all of this time. It might have had changes that would make it more enjoyable for me.

    Don't play MOBA, it's like a 3-D league of legends or Dota. Honestly, I don't think it's good. I rather play HoN than smite, it's really weird, there's really no need to just turn it 3-D. It's literally like playing league except you configured the camera to have a more of a 3-D view. I don't understand how the game even got 1/10 of the popularity that it did.

    I've never played it. But I watched some YouTubers play this and it's quite entertaining. Might give it a shot in the future.

    I've been playing Smite for quite some time now, and I have to say that I love the game. The combat is just fun and addicting.

    I don't but it seems interesting. I might give it a try since I love MOBAs, I don't think I've seen a similar game, 3rd person MOBA.

    I'm not oo much into MOBAs, some of my friends play a lot games like league of legends or dota but I don't like its gameplay.

    Anyway, smite looks cool, I like the graphics, maybe someday I'll give it a chance.

    I played it a while ago and I thought it was pretty fun, just very unbalanced. If its gotten any better I would consider playing it again. It was a nice change of pace from LoL.

    I am sorry, but I doubt you are gong to like Smite since you have already mentioned that you don't like playing MOBA's at all. It's not your cu of tea. I have played it, and I can tell you from my experience that it's not radically different from other MOBA's out there.

    I don't know what to say about this particular game. I mean, I liked it to some extent, but it seemed a tryhard alternative of League of Legends. They don't resemble that much, I know, but I find that Smite just took certain parts of different games that fall in the same category and simply mixed them up into their game, which is why I stopped playing.

    I have a few online friends who want me to get it so we can play together. I just don't know enough about it yet to go spend my money on it.

    Thank you for reminding me about Smite, I'd forgotten how much I loved it! I'm going to get my friends to start playing it again in the next few weeks, it's so much fun to play

    Haha, glad I could help! Yeah, it's definitely a ton of fun to play! I recently unlocked Apollo to play with, and he's super fun. Very mobile and light on his feet, I'd recommend trying him out if you get the chance!

    I like this game, as it deviates enough from the top-down MOBAs by using a 3rd person behind the back view. I occasionally play this. I bought the god pack to not have to farm for gods. It was a great value for 30 EUR.

    Downloaded it and had fun vs bots, but as soon as I started playing vs humans it wasn't as entretaining, I couldn't jungle at all (was last to pick and forced to jungle once and for the 1st time) and I was matched with strong people sometimes. I feel like League of Legends handles new players better.
    Stopped playing Smite after 3 days, but since I got suspended from LoL for 15 days maybe I should get back at Smite and try again.
