    Im on my first run through of last light, just on hardcore first before ranger. currently just picked up the infant dark one after rescuing him from the reds. Im loving all the new attachments and weapons but am yearning for a VSK. however, as i currently have a silenced Kalash 2012, so my two questions are.

    Firstly, where does the VSK become available?

    and secondly, it seemed the VSK was considerably more powerful and accurate than both kalash's in metro 2033, sacrificing fire rate and mag size; but id also noticed the kalash's are less powerful in last light. So which do people think is better? does the VSK pack more of a punch?

    I didn't find it until late in the game, when you fight a boss like scenario. It may appear sometime before that, if anyone knows of the earliest it can be obtained please share.

    Same with the Helsing, I was starting to question if it was even in the game or I had just missed it. Finally found it later in the game, but that one place was the only time I saw it.

    I found it after train mission, everyone has it after that.
