I just got ESO for PS4 a couple weeks ago and it's a much, much better game than it was getting credit for up until just a few months ago. Considering the fact there's no subscription--also considering the fact it runs really well on console--anybody made the jump and checked it out on PlayStation or Xbox? Anyone planning to? They've been running sales for it on the two systems. I picked it up on PSN for $40, and I haven't looked back. :)

I'll probably pick it up later next year or so since I plan to get a PS4 later this year around Christmas. I'll most likely start a new character and hope I get a better experience than the one I had when I was on the PC.

What dissapointed you in the PC version? Sure, the console version has some more polish, but they don'treally differ that much. If you had bad experiences right after the release, all the infancy problems were already fixed.

Yeah, they had a lot of instancing and phasing issues, but while they were fixed later on, it is still in people“s minds. I have problems trusting a developer that would launch a game in that state. Population issues and lag are one thing, but the instancing and phasing issues were stuff that was around in beta and not fixed and released like that.

I did for a long time (maybe 2-3 playthroughs as different kind of characters) , before I finally got it to computer. I must say, I'm never, ever going back to console. The graphics is much worse, you have a 30 fps cap (like every other game on console) and you can't have any mods.

After I have played Oblivion and Skyrim with mods, playing on a console would be awful. If you have the opportunity to play it on the computer, do it instead.

Nope, I don't play it on the console. The performance on that platform is worser than the one on my PC so there's no reason to choose it over my gaming rig! :D

I may pick it for console since that is the way I've played all the elder scrolls games. I would get if for the PC, but I'm more comfortable after all these years playing it on console. Is there still a sub fee if you play on PC?

I stopped playing on consoles ages ago because a computer is a best console.

It doesn't make sense to jump to a console when I have a PC. That's like going backwards. PC is far superior than a console system in every aspect: Graphics processing power, CPU power, storage speed and capacity and control. Software-wise, it's just way easier to mod and patch a PC game than it is a console game.

I have a PS4 but I still played on my PC. I've always played MMOs with my PC so if I suddenly played in a console it would weird and I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. A friend of mine got it for the PS4 and the controls seemed clunky, even though he said they were fine. Maybe just me being used to PC, but it didn't seemed too fun with controller.
