Are you glad it's not going to be so Kinect oriented?

I remember reading somewhere that Ryse was originally intended to be a Kinect game, but they decided to rely more on the controller for combat and only use the Kinect in troop coordination.

I can't say I would have minded either way. The Wii showed everyone that motion gaming can be done quite well , so I think it would have not hindered Ryse if it would have remained a full kinect game.

All the Kinect games I've seen so far were a bit subpar, so I'm glad they'll stick with the xbox controller. That being said, it would have been nice to finally see a game that uses the Kinects capabilities to it's fullest.

It would have been cool to see the new version of Kinect in action, but I think that's exactly the reason they didn't want to rely on the Kinect too much. New things usually have bugs and if something were to go wrong the game might end up being unplayable.

    Yes.

But that said, I am interested in the Kinect being able to "read" the gamer so well that it could (theoretically) adjust game play difficulty on the fly. I'll believe it when I see it, but it really could be the "killer app" for the One.

Microsoft tends to exaggerate these kinds of claims Wooblu, so I wouldn't read to much into it. Not to mention I'd imagine the game automatically adjusting it's difficulty on the fly would actually be a pretty annoying thing.

I'm not too sure about the annoying part. I could be cool!
