    So, we recently got some news about the 1.9 "Combat Update."

    Looks like the Mojang team are looking to improve the combat aspects of the game. Also, I heard that some new blocks are released, but I don't know the exact names.

    What do you guys think about the update?

    I don't think we need another combat update unless it's going to be a bit easier in the sense that you don't get killed out of nowhere or miss for no reason. From what I can tell subtitles is an awesome idea. I play with sound off so this pleases me.

    Shaders is a good idea too. Multiple bosses I am unsure about but it would certainly be interesting. Grass paths will be amazing! It says we will get better/new clouds, and better mobs/animations and more support for people to make new mobs.

    I wouldn't mind some refinements and improvements to the combat system. I don't have any specific desires, but I'm sure the update will be worthwhile.

    I think anything that provides an incentive to fortify your builds can only be a good thing. The combat mechanics themselves are clunky. Any refinement would certainly please me.

    Definitely agree with the above statement. The mechanics are pretty clunky and hard to work with but the idea is really nice and I think this update will benefit the game.

    The game seems to satisfy me at the moment. All updates are welcome for me, but not necessary.

    Not really, but okay sure I like updates. It makes the game better and more awesome. But I'm not really into combat thing, but I'll try to do some combat on some servers.

    I don't really look into the updates myself. I'm still running 1.7.10 wherever I can, although most servers are 1.8 only. Either way, people have been talking about getting a PvP update for a while, and that could be something that the game needs, even if items instead of doing 7 damage, did between 6.5 and 7.5.
