They're going backwards? Can't say I like the sound of that. 20th century Tsarist Russia would be a fantastic setting, I don't know what they're thinking.

Yeah I was hoping for Feudal China/Japan or the Tsar's Russia, and I'm not very pleased with the pirate setting since I despiced the naval battles of ACIII

Feudal Japan would be amazing! I can't say I know any historical figures, however. What if they used Matthew Perry in the plot, somehow? And how he was so key in opening Japan to imperialist forces? I don't know. That'd be a cool plot.

hmm, I take this with caution. sometimes it looks more like a DLC for AC3. we'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

I am intrigued... How could they create a completely new game this soon after the release of 3? Looks like an interesting setting nonetheless.

The fact that this song fits in is enough proof in itself...

well, it seems it really is AC4, and not a DLC for 3. I think Ubi and AC have lost their bearings somehow. a lot of ppl loved the naval combat in AC3, but not everyone did. imho, they've lost their way.

I don't know if it's me but it seems they're milking the franchise now.

Thats pretty easy, they have 2 groups developing the games. for example teh development of AC3 started pretty much directly right after AC2 got out. then another group made the brotherhood, revelations and what not.

That is what I've heard kinda at least.

Oh they're definitely milking it now, but the game might still be decent. We'll just have to wait and see.

They were already "milking" the franchise, and will continue to do so for a few more games I think...

But I happen to love pirate-y settings, so at least, for me, this one could make up for the crappy setting of AC3...
