So yesterday Aeria Games announced the open beta for Aura Kingdom. The game is free MMORPG game and in my opinion it's quite decent.
I myself won't be playing due to my limited time(I'm already playing WoW/LoL and as of recently TERA + I have exams now), but I do think that if you are looking for a new free MMORPG you should try this.
Here is the official site: http://aurakingdom.aeriagames.com/
    Trailer:

    Some random gameplay:

Here is some important info you should know:
Basically if you start playing it now and have max level character when the game is about to launch you will keep it and at the same time if you decide to wait till the official launch chances are you will be so behind the rest of the beta players that it would seem meaningless to start.

I haven't, but it does look like a decent game. My only concern is whether or not it's pay2win. To be honest I've never played fully a game developed by Aeria Games, so I'm not sure on how "free" their games are. If they are truly free than you can definitely have some fun in it, but if you have to unload a massive amount of cash just so you can be competitive it's pointless.
Would be nice if someone can give us some info on that part.

Yeah, that's my concern as well, I just have no knowledge of Aeria Games, what other games have they done?

Aeria Games is quite a popular developer and they have A LOT of games. Their current most popular games in my opinion are Prime World which is a relatively new MOBA and quite decent also Tribes: Ascend - a really popular FPS game. From the MMORPGs I think Shaiya was their best, not really sure. Overall it's a solid company.

Oh, I know Tribes: Ascend, but isn't that made and published by Hi-Rez Studios?

Hi-Rez studios got really famous with Smite before that they were unknown to me, so I can't really comment much on this but I guess they are either affiliated in some way or they are just partners on this. I just checked and there are links from both companies: http://www.aeriagames.com/playnow/taus and http://www.hirezstudios.com/tribesascend/home

I believe that's a unfair advantage, keeping your character max level after the launch...

I agree. I myself can't start playing the game now due to exams and playing other games at the moment, but before I knew that they won't reset the level I did have some thoughs on picking this one for casual playing, however now when I know that levels will remain I've kinda given up on the idea. Even though I was going to play this game mostly casual I still like to be on somewhat equal footing with the rest of the people and that pretty much will be impossible, but oh well this year there are so many good games coming out that it won't be hard to find a replacement :D

Of course, how can you have fun in a game where almost everyone is going to be a lot stronger?
I think I'll pass this one, maybe if I had a couple more free time I would give a fast try, but after this, no way.

Seeing as it's open beta (= everyone can participate) I really don't see anything unfair about it.
Personally I'm not a big fan of Aeria games and the game doesn't look too appealing for my own taste so I think I'll pass.

It's true that everyone can participate, but there are a lot of people like me who aren't very fond of alpha/betas. Although I basically sign up for almost every game that has a beta I rarely play more than few hours on them due to all the bugs. A good example is Infinite Crisis which I played recently. The game was too buggy to enjoy it even the slightest. Same with this I'd prefer to skip the alpha and was probably going to try the end beta or the official launch, but now when I know that there won't be a level reset I'm definitely skipping.
I know it's nitpicking, but I'm sure there are a lot of people like me who don't enjoy to encounter bugs every 5 minutes :)

Looks like it could be worth a try, but I won't have time to give it a try this semester I am taking 18 units so I won't be doing much gaming if any.

Dear lord 18... utter nightmare :D
I'm just happy that next week will be my final exam week after that I should be quite free for a while. Maybe then I might try this game a try because even with the negative side of no level reset the game looks fun(at least to me :))
