[AUS/ASIA] Twelve - Oceanic GW2 Community

Good Day everyone, thanks for dropping by this thread!

Chances are, you're an Aussie or South-East Asian timezoner that would like to join people in similar TZs in enjoying what GW2 has to offer in the future. Most of our guild members are from Australia, but we get along with (and troll) anyone from the globe.

We are currently looking to recruit mature and fun-loving individuals into our quirky community. Internationals from the US/EU region are more than welcome in our abode as well, as we have a handful of members from US and EU!

What we are looking for: Mature, sociable and enthusiastic players. I am also interested in opening alliances with other Oceanic GW2 guilds. Let's band together so members from our region can get the most out of this game!

Gaming approach: We have both a mixture of hardcore and casual players that are closely-knit. We are welcoming to new members and you may play and enjoy the game however you wish. Community events are often scheduled. We're even hosting an In-House Starcraft 2 tournament this weekend!

Why Twelve?: Sense of community means a lot to us, and new members become "one of the gang" really fast as we enjoy taking in new ideas, fresh enthusiasm and viewpoints. In fact, we hold annual meets where our members (new and old) meet each other and have an awesome time.

About Twelve

Twelve is an online community that was initially created by a group of school friends as a World of Warcraft guild. Over time it grew not only as a guild, but also as a community where guild mates became friends. Friends who kept in touch even after they stopped playing WoW.

We pride ourselves on not taking a serious approach to gaming or life, and having a good time while doing it. We know what makes games fun and that is the people you play them with. Twelve extended itself outwards and infiltrated other games. Our forums became a hive of activity touching on topics ranging from discussion about the latest natural disaster to hypotheticals about ice cubes and treadmills.

We meet up in real life at least once a year and have a blast by replacing video games with booze which always brings about a strange and memorable turn of events.

Quite simply, you will not be able to find another community like Twelve. Unknowingly, we somehow discovered the perfect balance between gaming, derp and lemonparty to carve out a corner of the internet and make it our own!


Twelve History - The World of Warcraft Beginning

Our World of Warcraft guild stands strong as the oldest raiding guild on the Frostmourne server. We pride ourselves on strong leadership and steady progression while keeping a casual play style and a level of unprofessionalism that cannot be found elsewhere. Players who leave for more hardcore guilds usually return because "there's no other guild like Twelve".

With every new expansion many old Twelve relics shake off the dust and re-join the ranks for old times sake.


Other Games

When we try our hand at other games we swarm the servers with jerkdom. We spread our seed far and deep, team killing, team flashing, ramirezes doing everything and of course, trash talking. Games are better with Twelvians, it's a pure simple fact. Every new game we impregnate spreads the Twelve name and brings new blood into the mix.

Almost every new MMO that comes out has gotten a group of Twelvians to pick it up and give it a shot. Games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, EvE-Online, Tabula Rasa, Age of Conan, Guild Wars, Rift, Warhammer Online, Hellgate London, have all had a Twelve guild with a large following and all members had a great time playing them together. Even if the game is a complete bomb, it's going to be great when played with Twelve.

We also have regular groups of people playing the newer non-MMO games such as Battlefield 3, Starcraft 2, Counter Strike: Source, Left4Dead, Team Fortress 2 and so on. Playing these on Vent with friends makes you better as you can strategise together, react faster, pick up tips and tricks and just generally have more fun.

We are always looking forward to playing new games together; to meet new people, to shoot each other in the face yet again but most of all to just have fun.
