Ben Affleck to play Batman in upcoming Man of Steel sequel

    So what are your thoughts on this? I'm not sure Ben Affleck is up to the superhero role that batman deserves, after seeing Christian Bale as the most amazing Batman ever, I find it hard to look at Affleck as his successor, the only movie I remember to see with affleck and him being a superhero of some sort was daredevil, and despite many of the critics found it terrible, I didn't find it that bad overall, but batman might be way too much for affleck, let's hope that I'm wrong.

    I don't have a problem with the actor itself. I think he'll do great justice to the character. He definitely has the acting chops to pull it off without any problems.

    He really even looks like Bruce Wayne completely. But the problem I have with this is he is already an established actor with 2 oscars already under his belt.

    I for one think that all superheroes roles should be given to relatively unknown actors or actors who are new to this.

    I like Affleck as an actor and some of his movies aren't bad, but I don't feel that him as Batman is a good choice at all. If I was asked who should be Batman, I couldn't say, but it wouldn't be Affleck.

    I don't think Ben Affleck is a good choice for batman. He would do good as Bruce Wayne, but he doesn't have it to be batman. He is a good actor, but this role is too big for him.

    I am optimistic about it. I was initially pissed off but really what if he proves everyone wrong. I for one hope he does and I think he might just pull it off. I'll reserve judgement till I see him in the suit.

    Ben Affleck is a good actor. Why not give him the role? I personally disliked Christian Bale as Batman and would welcome somebody new to try it. If George Clooney could do it, why not Ben Affleck. Plus, I loved him as Daredevil, he might do good as Batman as well.

    Ben as batman might just work, we'll have to wait and see. The story line to the batman movies are so good they could have just about anybody play batman and it will still sell.

    It might work but he is generally cast as a 'good light hearted funny guy in a lot of movies. Qualities that Batman does not possess.

    This film is gonna be amazing. I personally loved Ben Affleck's performance in Gone Girl and I know he's gonna do well as Batman despite what the critics say. He just has the features, the body and the talent to pull it off.

    Eh...I'm on the fence on this one. He wasn't half bad playing Daredevil, even if the movie was somewhat lame, but hopefully he won't sound like he chain smoked 100 cigarettes back to back like Bale did and I couldn't understand what he was saying.

    I think Affleck will be fine. I'm more concerned about the Joker casting for this new Batman series reboot. (I imagine we WILL see Joker at least once in BvS.)

    But I'm just trying to have faith. Surely casting knew how important the Justice League set-up in this film is for the future of DC films...

    Fuck it the old dark batman was getting boring anyway, lets see what the man can do before throwing him under the bus, he might surprise us you never know.
