I personally liked Wrath of The Lich King (WotLK) most, because of the nice atmosphere in Northrend, new quests and the need to save Azeroth from the villain, The Lich King.
I really loved raiding Naxxramas, Ulduar and Icecrown Citadel.

So which expansion did you like best? And why?

I noticed I forgot Wrath of the Lich King as poll-option, please treat "World of Warcraft sucks" as WotLK.

My favorite is Wrath of the Lich King as well. I actually started playing about a week or so before it came out, so in fairness I didn't get to experience Burning Crusade when it was new content. But I absolutely loved WotLK and Northrend. I also like Mists and Cata but they're not nearly as good IMO.

I have to go with The Burning Crusade. Being a huge fan of the Warcraft Lore, I have read many books based on the Warcraft universe. I find the story of Malfurion and Illidan Stormrage to be quite fascinating, and the Tempest Keep part very beautiful as well.

Burning Crusade has my vote, my favorite expansion of all time. I feel like WoW started to decline in WOTLK with another slight blow in Cataclysm. MOP is showing a bit of a change in the right direction but BC was still my favorite.

I still think fondly of vanilla as that was when I started, but I have to say that WotLK is probably my favorite. Such a dark feel to that expansion.

Wrath Of The Lich King isn't available on the poll, can't you just add it as an option? I unfortunately never got to play vanilla or BC though which is a real shame, Cataclysm was pretty fun in the early stages but dragged on a bit and Mists was just a bit too much in my opinion so I didn't even bother.

I gotta say that BC was the peak of WOW. So many new additions were made, so many new instances and whatnot. After that the game started to become old. The graphics weren't changed, the game mechanics stayed the same. I mean in the end it was still just a lot of grinding to get to a better gear and then another gear and so on

You didn't include the lich king. But anyways - I've always preferred cataclysm over any other expansion. A lot of scrubs were complaining about the imbalance in pvp, but I found it pretty equal honestly. The heroics were not that hard at the start of the expansion - a lot of casuals just bitched about it. The raids weren't that hard as well. Again, casuals bitched about it...

I gotta go with vanilla. Sure it was unnecessarily hard, but as they tried to make it more accessible to the average gamer, they lost out on some things. I liked how Paladins were alliance only, and Shamans were horde only. Horde pally's and Alliance shamans just don't make sense. I also liked how Horde was obviously the cooler faction, so Elves were Alliance only. Now that the Horde has Elves there's no reason for me to roll Alliance. I really liked the end game back then too.

I hated BC when I was there and didn't understand why oh why people liked that expansion so much. I was a big noob, Shadow Lab dungeon took me over one hour...a lot of wiping..and oh God..you had to get attuned to even do heroic. But looking back, If I were as good as now and BC came out this expansion ,I'd have loved it a lot. So I voted BC. Yog + 1 was so hard that it was fun to watch the race for the high end guild to see who would get it, now it took them literally two weeks.

I only played Vanilla to 56ish, then my friends left. My cousin though loved the first expansion and I think the second. Mainly because I bought him them when they came out for his bday or xmas. Then his friends left and he was left behind and didn't get the third expansion.

Voted MoP, just because there's stuff you can actually do in the game. A problem I had with past expansions is the sitting around doing nothing when none of your friends were online to pvp or your guild wasn't raiding that day. Cata was especially guilty of doing that. Now, with stuff like the Timeless Isle, Brawlers guild,Transmog, and Flex Raids, there's always something to do.

I started in TBC when I was really new. I can already say: I LOVED the game, it was like a whole new world to me. I was very young back then. The game was like another real life world. But once you got better at the game, the game wasn't as fun as it was. I loved exploring all the new things you could do. Personally, I can't say that TBC was the best expansion, because first time is always usually the best experience. WOTLK was the best expansion and balanced expansion.

Wrath of the Lich King for me, but I cannot see the option to vote for it in the poll. Everything past Wotlk is not worth playing.

WOTLK without a doubt. The lore behind it is just so awesome and it also has one of my favorites raids (Ulduar 25)
I also liked the new gear and the quests were awesome.

TBC and WotLK remain as the top expansions for me personally. They are the classic WoW in my opinion and represent the environment just as it has to be. The bosses are simply amazing and I still remember hitting 80 and going at BT for the first time. I remember the chaos outside as if it was yesterday and it was something I doubt I'll forget.

I believe BC was my favorite hands down. My guild was still together, my husband played and all of a sudden everything was new! The only thing that really kinda sucked in BC was going out and doing the first handful of quests only to find that your epics that you worked so hard for in vanilla were replaced in an hour. Now you go into an expansion understanding that will happen, then it was very sad to see benediction be outclassed by an ugly green staff.

Flying was also a great point in BC for me, I literally spent a month farming water motes to sell on the AH so that I could afford my epic flying and have the chance to get a nether drake. They are still one of my favorite mounts today just because of the effort I put into obtaining them.

I think besides Catacylsm, they were all really good. I voted for MoP because basically everything added in the previous expansions is still here. BC made a lot of improvements to basic gameplay that made the character development much better. WOTLK had LFD and really good dungeons.

I would almost like to say BC was the best expansion.. but that makes some people think the game was better back then. It isn“t that.. BC was the best expansion because it had the most dramatic increase in gameplay.. but subsquent expansions have all improved gameplay, just not by as much.

Having started on Vanilla, I'd have to go with The Burning Crusade myself too. It's that middle ground between WoTLK, where in my opinion things started going downhill, and Vanilla, which is the indisputable classic. I personally had the best time in TBC, the classes, the mechanics, the instances, raids, the zones, lore. It all just felt right, and I have a huge love and nostalgia for it.

Obviously the one you didn't included - Wrath of the Lich King:). Maybe it doesn't have the nostalgic feel Vanilla and tbc has, but in my opinion it is the most advanced patch in terms of balance, pvp and pve quality. Of course, it still has quite a lot of drawbacks that latter expantions managed to fix, but cata and mop were still a drawback from wotlk.
