"But we don't want to be defined by a genre. " Also says Bethesda. Bethesda is capable of only making Elder Scrolls games and making boat loads of cash, but they don't want to stick to just one genre, they want to be just like any other respectable company (not that they aren't because they totally are.), they just want to delve deeper into many genres.

They have other games like Fallout, The Evil Within (Developed by someone else, but published by Bethesda).

But this is pretty interesting to say the least. I'm glad a company like this wants to expand to other genres and that's just what they should do. :)

It's true though. They could make nothing but Elder Scrolls games and they would survive for quite a long time. But I'm glad they're looking to expand their genres and work on other things. I was happy to see The Evil Within mentioned, looks like an epic game. And we're all holding out for a Fallout 4. I am totally ready to see what they have up their sleeves.

That's what they do best. Fallout is a great series, and they can work wonders with that franchise. I just wonder what other franchises they'll establish and buy. I can't wait to see what Bethesda has to offer down the road. Hopefully more Elder Scrolls though. :D

Bill Gates could just do Microsoft Office. But, I am glad that everyone is attempting to be around in the long term!

Whatever r they do, I hope they keep the same style of game and include some RPG elements into it. Bethesda have made my favorite console RPG's and I'm hoping they keep making them. It'd be nice to see them make another RPG from something like Game of Thrones or Harry Potter.

I like the idea of another Elder Scrolls game instead of trying to make an MMO that you have to pay a monthly fee for if they want to they could just keep all concepts of ESO and turn it into an RPG or even they could make two versions one offline the other online.

If you want to stay in this business for a long time, you won't imitate Activison. There are going to go down th drain sooner rather than later. Just you wait.

Bethesda has always been a worthy company, and in my opinion they deserve every single dollar they have earned through their games. They always treat us, gamers, with respect and they keep high standards in their games. I'm sure that I am definitely going to at least try every game that they publish, even if it is something completely different, like a top down strategy game.

Yes, I concur. I don't get why some people hate them. You are supposed to leave a few bug here and there after finishing some huge game. They patched everything out, didn't they?

I don't think anyone wants to be defined by one genre. Even Stephen King branches out from horror and dabbles in fantasy. Don't fool yourself, though. Bethesda are making far more cash by entering to other genres than they would if they just stuck to one intellectual property.
