Biggest / most embarrassing failure ever in Minecraft

I think my biggest failure was when I was trying to attack a silverfish, which barely has any attack, and I only had my fist even though my sword was in my hotbar, and I couldn't get to it because I was on a laptop and the scrolling was all weird, and it pushed me into some lava :O

 

I think the most embarrassing thing for me is when I lose a 1v1 PVP duel. I usually play this on servers. It's pretty embarrassing to lose to a person who has the same amount of armor and power as you do. Sometimes, I lose by 1 health, so that's pretty sad. But, things happen!

 

I've put TNT to clear up some land to build on. I didn't notice it was next to my house made of wood. And my house went on fire.

 

I've definitely ragequit a few games after getting pushed into lava or into a crevasse by pigs or cows. I'm so glad they took that 'feature' out, the only thing worse than dying from a hostile NPC is dying from a nonhostile NPC smacking into you!

The worst part was after getting pushed into lava when I was frantically trying to climb out, and I just looked up and saw some smug pig looking down at me like, "What did you jump in there for, stupid?"

 

Gathered all my armor and weapons. Got all the members to my faction to go and raid another and as soon as we did /tpa over there we got our butts handed to us and lost everything. Then they came and eventually raided us.

 

Me and my buddy had a LAN server we were messing around on for about 4 hours.

We tried to build a massive castle, which ended up pretty cool (in survival mode). We wanted to put a lava waterfall/moat down the whole castle and perimeter, so the only way to enter it was through a secret underground entrance below the lava. It ended up burning down the whole castle and somehow messing up the stone.

 

I fell into a pit of lava with an inventory half full of diamonds.

 

I once spent hours and hours building this HUGE castle. I had finally finished, but somehow the building looked slightly odd to me. Turns out I had made the left side of the castle a block shorter than the right side of the castle. It took me an hour to fix it because I had put so much detail into the walls.

 

Lol that's painfully hilarious. Do you have a picture of the castle? I'd like to see it, it sounds pretty amazing if you spent that much time building it.

 

I have had so many embarrassing disappointments with the lava. Seems to be a theme here. Lol.

 

My most embarrassing failure in Minecraft is probably falling off an incredible height while stacking blocks, haha. We were trying to build a huge building and I end up falling off because of sand physics. The server restarted RIGHT after I died and I lost all my valuable stuff. This was on a factions server, by the way.

 

My most embarrassing failure is not as interesting as some of the others in this post, but let me share it with you.
There I am, mining the last piece of diamond on my mining trip, with my inventory full of precious ores. I, being tired and sleepy, forgot that there might be lava underneath the block I was about to mine, so I dug right through it, standing on it. Sure enough, I fell into a pit of hot molten lava and burned to death, losing all my goods in the process.

 

This was in like 2012 I believe. For some reason my hard disk drive failed or got corrupted somehow and I lost the world. I didn't take any screenshots of it

 

A year or so ago I had an obsession with having the ability to blow up my entire base with the pull of a lever. I had my bases lined with TNT and behind double iron doors, there was a heavily protected lever that would blow the whole thing sky high.

A creeper spawned in my house... the rest is history

 

My biggest fail was when I set off the TNT under a map that was still in construction and wasn't saved or backed up or anything, it was a team based map where the goal was to set off the TNT under someone else's base, and I accidentally set it off when it was in construction and destroyed the base, losing hours of work.

 

Oh man that sucks! I always like to make backups of all of my maps at the end of the day to make sure if I do something I regret, I don't lose too much

 

I learned from that that you need to back in up every few minutes or so, not only when it is finished. At least I learned something from an incident and I won't make that mistake again. Ever. After this incident I just started over on the map and did it in a better style also, so at least a few things came from that.

 

Accidently blew up my house with TNT while I was setting up some TNT traps, (3 Blocks deep, TNT at bottom, dirt, and then a pressure pad on top)

 

I remember I found a creeper in my house one day. Upon harassing it and it exploding, it only took one block with him. Literally the block that it was standing on disappeared. I don't have an explanation until this day. WEIRD FAILS.
