blacks ops 2 screwed up?

    blacks ops 2 screwed up? i saw the trailer and it was WAY to futuristic. the previous CoDs focused on real wars and modern technology, and here its like they are making stuff up just so they can continue the franchise. I might rent it just so i can play it. but im def. not buying it. :tsk:

    We all know that a majority of the gaming population will never be happy with Call of Duty. There's too many, it'll never have that same hype for a sequel because people have become used to the whole "once-a-year" thing, which is why a LOT of people are impatient with developers of other games for sequels, in my opinion. Like Metro Last Light. It's only been two years since 2033 came out, and everyone is mad because it's been delayed.

    Sorry for the rant.

    ^ That was my first impression, but after watching the trailer countless times, I thought it wasn't that bad, and I think I'll buy it. But it will not take up my black ops shelve - it will take up my Mass Effect shelve.

    EDIT: What Boris wrote was my first impression xD

    Regardless it will sell millions because it is COD.

    Everyone knows that COD has started to become boring. Even reports of MW3 sales being lower than Black Ops last year indicate that the franchise is loosing it's fan base.

    Now the reason the fan base has declined is due to lots of reasons, which I wont go into.

    Treyarch are COD's new creative brain imo. The majority of players buy COD for MP and don't really care about campaign (With Metro LL it will be the other way around). So a futuristic MP and not forgetting the new 8 player zombies imo will blow MW3 and will be the best COD since COD4.

    I'm gonna get it if all my friends do but were just looking forward to zombies. I'm not even going to decide what I want from mp coz I know I'll be disappointed

    COD has been going down though. Look at BF3. If you look now there are so many low to mid level people. The people who have had the game for a long time they are at least colonel. But they should at least come up with a better name. Black ops 2? Just doesnt sound cool.

    i've never played a Call of Duty game (I can see the shock on people's faces), mainly because it's a straight up shooter. While they are fun to play, I prefer story-driven games that offer something interesting.

    ^ Well to be honest i kinda recomend u to maybe try black ops cause i think it had an intresting story. Very good in my opinion. Maybe a better choice is to rent it, but its ur call.

    And my thought on black ops 2 is that they just combined CoD with Halo haha

    Sorry, I just had to.
    Uhm, I've never played any of the CoD games either. Although I hear a lot of ranting about it, there's still a lot of people who plays it, and it looks good to me. Just like people rant down on Tokio Hotel although I enjoy their music and so does other people as well. (Yeah, it's true). In other words, I don't think people should get all mad because of the futuristic part. It's SUPPOSED to be futuristic, so why moan about it? CoD just keeps going and going like a virus and won't stop. I have to admit that I personally think that the CoD developers seem a little desperate as there's eight games now. Nine? No? Eight? Anyway, I just accept it as it is.

    The story of the first Black Ops was alright, but it was short. It's not worth it to pay for the game and it would be better to either rent it or watch the cutscenes for an hour. I only played it at my friend's house and almost finished it the first night. I haven't payed for a CoD game since Modern Warefare 2 and don't intend on doing so again. It's actually because of playing Cod and Halo online that I don't like online multiplayer.

    You've hit the nail on the head there. Modern Warfare 3 took me two hours and I was playing on Hard.. hopefully Last Light changes your opinion of online multiplayer :)

    I wont play CoD unleast it comes back to WW2 era.. I played all games until Modern Warfare 2, then i stooped for good with this series of FPS's. In my opinion Battlefield series have a lot more to offer than CoD's

    Lol Boris, Cod has been screwing up a long time now...

    It's pointless talking about it, they are just like the reply whores on YouTube.
    Only kids want call of duty, and they are getting alot of money from those kids, they won't change their games doesn't matter how many people dont like it, as long as they make good money they will keep it going.

    i do have to say, unlike the Modern whorefare 2-3 games, treyarch atleast made effort to do a good story line


    Cod WaW had quite a hard story line and its multiplayer was fun. I played with nothing else but bolt action rifles with bayonet on it!

    COD black ops actually had a good story line.. But it was a tiny bit to short. but the multiplayer was so so so so super fast paced with RUN AND GUN

    That is an absolutely great video, I always loved watching Garry's Mod made videos...The Robot Salesman series was always one of my favorites when I was younger. Sorry to go off topic..
