    If the community thinks it's ok (and so far that do) then go for it. Just make sure it doesn't encroach on any of the other forums, to a degree.

    Not really, but we don't like it if the thread has been milked of all potential and then gets necro-posted by a guy who just wants to say "Yeah, I agree!" to what someone said two years ago :p

    Oh, right, makes sense. But I mean, it's fine to post in some of the game threads, right? I noticed a Mass Effect thread there and that's a fun game. Also, I was wondering if I could start a thread for people to showcase drawings, since most of the art threads seem to be dedicated to more screenshot type stuff.

    I mean, I got away with some vids of my own, I can't imagine why anyone would have an issue with it. And you're definitely an integral part of the community here; it's not like you just showed up to advertise.
