Although I already knew that bodies would be "un-hideable" this confirmed information almost makes me want to sit in the dark corner again....

    Almost..

While this information is likely still accurate, do note that this article was written before THQs dramatic demise.

But really, if you're a true stealth aficionado, you won't be leaving bodies behind anyways.

It was written after. Koch media bought the IP's on the 23rd Jan 2013. It seems Huw is either working for 4A or Koch Media. I maybe wrong though.

Previously someone posted bodies can be hidden:

I agree though not being able to hide bodies is a huge disappointment and will be slated by the critics if the other stealth and AI mechanics don't compensate for it.

Huw Beynon worked for THQ as a creative strategist and he also works for 4A Games as communications lead and studio representative.

He never had the title of 4A Games as communications lead and studio representative before, this must be recent as I noticed the addition on his Twiter profile

I don't remember which video it is but there is a video on youtube where Huw states himself as 4a's studio rep.

This is disappointing news, but as long as the stealth has been improved from what it was like in 2033, then I'll be satisfied. The stealth in Metro 2033 was good to begin with (I personally found it much better than most gamers are saying it was), but I still expect improvement in Last Light since they've had time to reflect and work on what was already there.

Maybe I am just a fanboy but I honestly have almost no problems with the stealth in metro 2033. I felt it was pretty realistic. The only problem I had with the stealth was that everyone knew where you were if you threw a throwing knife at an enemy that was away from everyone else and did not hit him. I also felt that the combat was really well done too which is another gripe people had with metro 2033. I hear a bunch of negativity surrounding this games mechanics but to me it does not bother me.

Maybe what they mean is that you can't cover it with blankets or something but maybe you can drag the bodies? Hiding bodies can be hard a thing to implement in games.

haha thats hilarious. I can imagine trying to find a blanket real quick before a guard comes and then spreading it over the body, lmao the guard would be like "what are you doing with that blanket? Oh shit! dead comrade!"

Are you sure? I keep seeing posts saying the exact same thing on internet (that once you attack, everyone knows where you are). I mean, it was true to some extent on my playthroughs of the game. However, I've also noticed that if I moved quickly out of the area that human enemies had last spotted me at, they would continue shooting in that direction until I made my new location obvious. I found that pretty realistic. :)

Yeah unfortunately. And as soon as they know where you are and switch to fight mode they always know where you are even if you quickly leave the area and move somewhere else. And when you pop out behind them they immediately know where you are.

This has happened to me many times on both xbox and PC. I do think that the AI can Aimbot you and find you too easily. The only way one does stealth in 2033 is timing and avoiding glance from the AI's but even in the complete dark I have been spotted. I think the AI is too sensitive and at times un-human especially at detecting the player IMO.

But... the game's stealth is quite easy. You can get past undetected, without hurting a fly, on both the Frontline and Black Station missions. :p

The stealth feels very realistic. Never understood when people say that enemy finds you instantly.

You'd probably get it after three playthroughs. :p On my fourth playthrough, I got through those two levels without hurting a fly or making myself seen or heard. I had plenty of time to practice on those three previous runs.

Maybe if I just sprint through the whole level screaming I'll make it...
