Can it survive with a subscribe fee?

Lets face it, ESO is not free-to-play. So do you think ESO will survive with this new $15 monthly fee? Or is it just something they plan to test out and see how things go? I personally think ESO can survive and I believe people will subscribe. But, could it end up failing? Could this fee turn people away?

You know, we wont know until we get the finished product. It could be a major mistake for them, but it could also make the game that much more better. Think about it, if they can add in a ton of decent stuff for that $15 fee every month, I welcome that.

I think that $15 a month is to high. Maybe come up with a better yearly fee then let people pay monthly. With today's economy it would help. But $15 a month when some are playing and paying for other games that can be pricey. If they make it worth it then it would maybe be ok.

I agree that the price is a little high. I am not interested in paying $15 a month. I'd welcome $7, even $10 a month. I believe at some point ESO will be made free-to-play, maybe in a year after release, who knows. But I doubt that.

People will pay, either to try it out or keep playing. I usually try things out at 1st by paying a month worth in order to play.

ESO subscription is fairly similar to WoW, and look where WoW is at the moment. It's one of the most popular games played by many people. Subscription based games have better content, and better players because it doesn't encourage people who ruin the game. However, I do think that the base game price is a little bit unnecessary.

There isn't the small doubt that it and will survive, Elder Scrolls has a wide range of gamers that I'm pretty sure won't find much problem in having to pay 10$ a month to play ESO if the gameplay is worth it, aswell as the game itself, if it has good graphics, good storyline, good pve/pvp components, every MMO addict will be playing it.

I doubt a $15 fee will make that game survive. There are too many free games out there.

Content, that's what it all comes down to. If ESO has good content and the gameplay is what people are expecting then no doubt TES fans will have no problem dropping $15 a month to play ESO. However, I'm not too sure if this will last or not but we won't know til we get our hands on it ourselves and try it for ourselves. People paid for RIFT and now it's F2P and people still pay a subscription fee for bonus content, we might even see something like this happen as well.

It's difficult to say. There's no telling if they would go the SWTOR route and eventually make the game free to play.

I'm sure SWTOR was as hyped as this game is, if not more. So let's assume both of these games will have a similar path.

If that is true then I can certainly see the game going F2P till a certain level or something.

It really depends what the game will be like. If the quality is the same as the other elder scrolls games then I think they can pull it off. However I won't be participating, I hate subscriptions.

I don't like subscriptions too, but this will be a great game and so I plan to start playing it for at least a couple of months
