    Hi,

As the title says, what do you think are some of the best free MMORPG games that are free of charge and doesn't require a subscription fee?

    My choice would be:
    1. TERA
    2. Neverwinter
    3. Perfect World
    4. Lord Of The Rings
    5. Star Trek

Can you suggest any better ones?

    Thanks

I agree with TERA and SW Old Republic also I would recommend trying Cabal Online!

I also enjoy Star Trek Online and LoTRO. DC Universe online and Champions Online are also kind of fun to play for a while. Unlike STO and LoTRO, I think DCU and CO play less like an actual MMO and more like a regular RPG on your computer. But I haven't had the patience to stick with either for very long.

Guild Wars 2 is also fun and is ALMOST free. Although there is the initial game cost, there's no subscription fee. Pretty reasonable, especially considering how vast the world is and the great mechanics it has.

Personally I never enjoyed any free MMO so I can't really recommend any of them.
However, I would highly recommend Guild Wars 2. I know, it's not free - you have to buy the game. But it's just a one time fee as there is no paid subscription.

Have you ever tried out GTA:SA Multiplayer? If not, that's something you should certainly try. The multiplayer client transforms the game into a true MMORPG where you could really choose between a huge variety of servers with all kinds of gamemodes to play on. I highly recommend it in case you have not tried it.

SWTOR is definitely worth a shot the questing system is pretty cool and the story line is rather interesting for most the classes.

Ragnarok Online is pretty fun in my opinion, though it's fairly grindy. WoE is pretty cool, it's basically Guild vs Guild.

Maplestry is also a pretty fun F2P MMO, though I've heard it's turned a bit into Pay 2 Win.

I can suggest Vanguard Saga of Heroes, it is free to play now and is an epic scale game. Despite the bad launch most bugs were fixed years ago but it still had bad publicity due to that.

If you like old EQ-style (think original EQ/Kunark/Velious) dungeon grinding and especially (!) raiding, this game is for you. A niche game that is still somewhat challenging and not dumbed down kiddie game like WoW/clones.

I really liked Star Track Online to be honest. I thought that it would suck and was surprised. I still play it frequently and it has become one of my favorites.

TERA is awesome and it has amazing graphics.
RIFT also went F2P recently and I've been playing it and it looks fairly decent.

My favorite one would LOTRO. I love it for the story, gameplay, and community.

My second vote would be for STO. I like this one probably just because I am a treckie, however. I will admit that the gameplay and other things leave something to be desired.

There is always Rappelz - this game has been online for 7 years now and still have millions of players! Another good game but fairly new is Age of Wulin - I have moved on from Rappelz to this game now and it is rapidly becoming a popular game!

I really enjoy Entropia Universe for the economical aspect. While it's free to play it does take AGES to get anywhere if you don't deposit money.

I used to play APB reloaded and gotham city impostors, but now its real slow, but they are pretty good games with some limits. Not sure if TF2 would classify as an MMO or not but it's a good game as well.
