I want to prepare an effective build for Fallout 4 on hardest difficulty. And I also wanted to know what the community have as effective or fun builds as well. Since Fallout 4 is a first/third person shooter with role playing/dungeon crawling elements, there are 7 S.P.E.C.I.A.L attributes. All minimum to 1. 21 points the player can add.

    My build:
1 Strength --Don't care about melee and carry capacity.
2 Perception --According to rumor, Perk 2 is the explorer perk.
1 Endurance --Save option makes it possible to reset so don't worry about health.
1 Charisma --Don't know how often need bottlecaps or speech to avoid consequence.
9 Intelligence --Good for leveling up quicker and neat perks.
6 Agility --Some AP capacity and useful perks.
8 Luck --Tricky one, if crit do a lot damage to dangerous enemies it can be very useful.

    Perks I focus on:
Explorer*, Medic, Gun Nut, Educated, Comprehension, Cyborg, Commando, Gymnast, Bloody Mess, Sole Survivor*, Better Criticals, Grim Reaper's Sprint.

Critics are welcome and share your character builds. :D

I would stick with putting a bit more points in strength in case you find something good but you can't get it since you don't have enough carry capacity as well as perception since it would probably help you see enemies on the minimap better and you won't be blindsided by and attack.

I've been thinking about this since I started watching the S.P.E.C.I.A.L videos they've been doing. I'm not 100% sure yet on what I'm going to do, but I have a pretty good idea based on how I played 3 and NV.

Strength: 5 (I'm a total pack rat, and I pick up everything and never throw anything away in case I need it. I always have high strength so I can carry everything.)
    Perception: 3
    Endurance: 2
    Charisma: 3
    Intelligence: 4
    Agility: 2
    Luck: 2

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with perks yet, but I know any chance I get I will be raising my Charisma, Perception, and maybe my Strength. I'm a bit more worried about carrying capacity in this game because of all the new objects you can pick up for building up settlements and customizing your guns. We will see when it comes out though! :)

Those were my thoughts exactly. Some more points in strength would do this build justice, the rest looks decent at a first look.

You seem very unbalanced, basically nothing on strength and everything based off of chance, definitely put more into strength. Intelligence is a good investment so maybe taking more out of the luck to add to strength would be a good idea.

I like how you have prepared your S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats already though, I hadn't even thought about what I might do.

Well, strength is very important and I usually have a decent score even though I usually have my characters act as gunslingers. When I run out of ammo, I need to be able to finish off my enemy and the pipe in my bag usually does the trick as a backup weapon should I run low on bullets and I can't get any for a while.

Early game in fallout you will need good weapons and obviously will not have access to a sniper straight away so to use this build I would suggest to be sneaky and get nice crits on people with the sneak crit bonus using rifles...

S-3, Seriously all you will need is a few weapons and med kits (strength is a bit useless).

P-6, This allows you to have access to the perk sniper instantly and therefore you can literally one shot enemies lol.

E-4, This is you can get the rad resistance perk in later game but snipers will not really be needing much health.

C-1, Useless we just snipe what we disagree with no need to talk.

I-5, Allows to level up quickly but not so quickly that you become overpowered and over-leveled.

    A-4, Used for sneak perk.

L-5, Get that Better Critical perk and allow your sniper to one hit anyone in front of your sniper.

Dont like my build? Say why
If you do though however give us a like and comment any improvements...
This build is strictly for getting awesome cinematic kills and sneaking around as a badass, dont ask to improve chrisma or strength since that is not the playstyle of this build.

Thank you for looking at my Sniper Build

I will probably play as a charismatic sniper once again. I think I finished all the Fallout games with this type of build. I mainly focus on charisma and speech, and of course, perception for the sniper part. I am curious if the build will be viable in Fallout 4 as well.

I noticed the perk blitz and the talent of paralyzing palm.. and I jazzed my pants.
S.4 for obvious reasons... mostly weapon craft.
P.1..Perception is pointless ( for this build )
E.3 essential but not at first, look into ghoulish its awesome, plus solar power... dat cleric action doe.
    C.1 Only paws and claws.
    I.1 For idiot savant.

A.9 this is where the party starts. Blitz, Action boy, and gun fu, in combination with maxed out unarmed, for the paralyzing palm, ( ps the str requirement is 1 for that perk ) and in no time you are paralyzing whole rooms of beasties with the help of!
L.9 nothing you can say about having high luck, it is just magical.. grim reaper sprint, critical banker ( to bank paralyzing palm ), mysterious strangers everywhere, and idiot savant for all the help getting there.

I have played FO3 and FONV as sneaky sniper, western gunslinger, futuristic power armor/energy weapons... For this game my first build will be a smooth talking sneaky guy, focused on pistols stealth and charisma. Very tempted to wiggle in a long range snipey element too, if I can fit it without overly diluting the build.

    I put S1 P6 E10 C2 I4 A1 L1 just to eliminate the pesky barriers for health and such.

High Endurance so I can be immune to rads and be healed by sun early game, Perception for the boosts at night, 2 charisma for the widow. I'm focused on surviving.
