Yeah, I saw this one a while ago :p It's so big that I couldn't find any major cities in it. I don't know if I played this version or anything, but mine started me off at the office of the people that made it, which didn't seem to be near anything.

Gigantic map, and it's impressive to say the least. I haven't checked it out in depth myself, but perhaps I should.

I think it's a really good map to look at how real life translates to Minecraft, especially towns and roads. If the darn thing would download I would be studying it right now.

Lots of people are saying they can find landmarks, etc...and I think there will be some attempts to build them in....but to be honest I can't imagine that working out because real life scaling wont really scale down to a size we can use blocks for. You might think 3 rooms in a row will be 12 blocks, but you forget walls which will make it 16. That's a huge difference when it comes to scale and space.

It would be so cool if they actually made everything with a 1:1 scale, so all the buildings were there and you could go inside them.

I've never understood how people make these gigantic projects. I've never been able to sit down for more than 2 hours with Minecraft.

That would actually murder my computer if I tried to download that map.

Well they don't necessarily sit there for hours doing it, they probably do it in 2 hour bits, or several hours depending. Each to their own!

Sometimes I work on a project for 30 mins, sometimes several hours. I once worked for 8 hour straight on a project because I wanted it to be a surprise for my partner who would be logging in in the morning.

The key to making a large project and making it properly is to be patient. These things take time, and you can't do it all at once, but your chunks of work time need to be long enough to actually make progress in fast enough fashion.

That's pretty nuts! The first thing that I thought of when I saw this was GTA for some reason!

I'd download it to explore the map, but I don't think my computer can handle it. There's just way too much going on for my computer to even render.

That looks interesting but as someone said, it would look awesome if they add buildings and important land sites such as the Big Ben. It would be, perfect!
