Very nice. I always loved Wonder Movies. It is just really cool to see a nice cinematic after you invest so much time and resources into building a Wonder.

Honestly, I could care less about this. As long as they are able to be skipped, I am fine. I naturally don't like to waste my time on this aspect of the game but I might watch one or two if I absolutely have nothing to do.

That would be pretty fun, as long as they add something to the game I wouldn't skip them. Hope they make the campaign more immersive!

I'm glad they're bringing these back. Although they don't change the gameplay at all, I always thought it was sort of a nice touch to get to see the animation after completing a wonder, similar to being able to see the overhead view of a city like in Civilization 3. Just a nice little touch.

This was one of the nicer elements in the game and I remember that it bothered me a lot when they removed them. Now bring back the Earth forming sequence with Leonard Nimoy's (RIP) old narration and multiple possible leaders for each civilization, so I can shut up and give you my money! :p

That is awesome. I can't believe that they removed it in the first place. There's a certain appeal to seeing your wonder being completed after a long time of working on it, and it's part of the charm when you see the cinematic of you being able to erect such a magnificent piece of history in your own territory. It was an awesome sight to behold. The bonuses are great too, but I usually build wonders to show off my resources.

Agreed, I always loved these. Gave me such a good sense of accomplishment.

That's what I think as well. I don't mind them and some of them might be cool when you see them once or twice.

I agree, they made the completion of a Wonder just a little more epic. Without the movies, wonders just felt like any other building you finished that was just better. Wonder movies kinda highlight the fact that you are the only one who has it.

It's nice to watch the cinematic after building them the first few times, but after 100+ games you just want to skip it altogether. Hope there's a skip button implemented.

Well I am like a lot of other users here and I am not the biggest fan of these types of features of the game. I have to say though that they are very well done and truly impressive, but I just wish that you could watch them later when you wanted versus right there in the game. I am sure they will be exciting though, so I am interested to see them.

I don't really know what to think about this one. I mean - it might look great, but it surely gets repetitive. I'm that kind of person that doesn't like any cutscenes in games, I just love when everything is "smooth" (I hope you get the idea).

I agree with this. It will be cool to watch them once or twice, but after that I'll just want to skip them when they show up. Civ is a game that already takes quite a long time to play, so as cool as the scenes might be, I'd rather the game go on at a brisker pace.

I love when video games inspire movie releases. I loved watching Wonder movies and I love playing Civilization!

For me, they will be interesting the first few time I see them, and after that I'm probably going to skip them. However, the game looks AMAZING as of now. Looking forward to the game, can't wait for it!

Oh yes.... the hype is definitely real!! I just hope that the release lives up to the hype. In my experience, games usually fall short of consumer expectations.

It's the small details that make the biggest differences and this has to be a great new addition for this game! We are building ourselves a new civilisation, so why not enjoy every aspect of building it and seeing it grow? Reading the article really made me feel that the team behind this game really went above and beyond to change the gaming experience and bring as many innovations to it as possible. The effort that went into making those small 20 second building sequences for every wonder in the game couldn't have been somebody's weekend side-project. I appreciate this investment of their resources and I am sure it will add even more flavour to the playthrough, especially if you are on a personal quest to see each wonder building sequence in game and not rushing to YouTube to see it beforehand.

Hm this is pretty nice, I love seeing little cutscenes after I complete something. I've played other games where this happens and it's nice to just take a little break and admire what you made.

Yet another stylish addition when compared to Civ V. In the beginning, it's surely going to be more than refreshing to feel rewarded for all the resoures you've put in to build that specific wonder, but I don't think it'll take more than 10 games for all of us to spam the skip button as soon as they begin. Either way, a cutscene is almost always better than just an image (as is the case with Civ V), so kudos to the devs for putting in the effort even for smaller details.
