Closest game to WoW?

    What would you fellas say is the closest game to WoW? Like in similarities, gameplay style and so on? The reason for my asking, is because I bet one day WoW will be done for good and I will probably want to jump to the next best thing. Could you name some of the hit MMO's out today that are as good, if not better? I might have to check them out one day

    I like EVE and Rift as two really good games that are comparable to WoW. They may not be as good as WoW, but they're certainly great games worth checking out if WoW was to ever stop the game. I would be sad when that day comes though.

    Rift and SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) are the most prominent WoW clones in my opinion. Still worlds are unique and only graphics/quests remind you of WoW.

    However I have played betas but not very much beyond so no idea about their higher level play or endgame.

    I have played Rift up to level 20, and I found most of the stuff a WoW clone. Like the loot/roll system. Very similar to WoW's loot and roll system. But in my friends opinion the closest WoW clone game is Runes of Magic. I haven't played it so much because I didn't like it, but it seems like lots of people are saying that RoM is a WoW clone.

    I'd say that Lineage is really close to World of Warcraft. The gameplay is 1:1.

    You can pretty much take your pick of MMO's since everyone is trying to copy WoWs success.

    If I had to pick on though I'd say SWTOR. Combat system is the same the UI is even similar. SWTOR does quests better though in my opinion.
