Imagine when you are witnessed the attack from Great War of 2012 and a city, wherever you are in, that is somewhat destroyed but you survive, what would you do?

If you knew the Great War of 2033 would happen anytime, what should you do and what you should be prepared for something?

It is not matter where you are; it could be in USA, Russia, and etc.

(PS - I am not sure if someone already discuss about that. But, I can't find somewhere that is similar to this thread. So I created a new thread here.)

I have an uncle who's one of those crazy "the world is going to end soon" guys with a fallout bunker and everything; hopefully I'd be able to hang out with him while the Earth is scorched with the flames of nuclear missiles.

If I knew of it beforehand, I'd dig in in my millionaire friend's cellar, setting up air filters, stocking up on hazmat suits and grabbing lots of ammo for the hunting rifle I'll have by 2013, get lots of water bottles in there, and hope for the best.
After the nukes I'd stay for some time before going outside looking for a bigger community.

I probably will not survive. But, if I am lucky, I could be with a group of survivors and, hopefully, my family and friends at somewhere in Oregon. I only know some information on the Contingency Plan. But, I doubt most Oregonians, included myself, would survive the poisonous air after The Great War. Due to a lack of protected shelters under the ground unless cities have underground sewers... So, I don't know for sure.

Well, we don't really have any metro tunnels or deep basements here in NZ, so we'd prob all die. But if we could survive on the surface, I'd collect my family together, make an immediate trip to the grocery store, fill up the car with food, and hoard it all in the house. Then, giving each person one of my many swords, we'd wait it out, try to build a small fortress from collected boards and stuff.

Well theres always the old coldwar-safety shelters in town,(haven't been maintained for god knows how long) but they will not shelter all citizens in town so no idea really to get there. Since I live in a rural area my only concern would be the fallout. we have deep well, so water won't be a problem i think.

And when it's cleared, time to go looting!:D

Well, we have a metro tunnel in Istanbul, but I think It won't be useful as Moscow Metro System. But at least, people have a place to hide in. But the thing is, my home is far from the Metro system. Thats why I would ( And I'm going to ) make a Fallout shelter on an empty zone, fill it with food and water, filters and gasmasks. If I can, I would make an air and water filter in the shelter, too.
