I'm not very far to be honest but I'm really amazed at how interconnected the game has been so far. I go from one area to the next but they have 2 or 3 paths that connect to the last one. It's super interesting and awesome, it's really something you don't see much anymore..

yeah its a very deep and layered game story wise, thats why its so popular...not unlike A Skyrim or a Mass Effect

Yeah but skyrim feels like it was made with prefabs.. because it is.. and mass effect is neat and all but after 2 it went to crap..

Haha yeah and you will see more as you progress through the game. Dark souls is fun and can be challenging. My and my husband say that it becomes more of a challenge when you get to Iron keep. Hope you have tons of fun and remember don't give up. :)

Yeah, but at the moment, I'm just having a problem with sen's fortress because I have a huge phobia of snakes..

Yeah, I always thought that it is very fascinating how the designers make the levels. I think they are genius in how they weave everything together without making it look odd and out of place. Not to mention the non-linear story progression.

Yeah, that's one of the best things about Dark Souls though it honestly is lost by the halfway point, it starts to get more linear then. Dark Souls 2 also doesn't have this amazing interconnectivity. I love DkS2 more than DkS1 and all, but the world design took a hit with the loss of interconectivity, though level design is still good. The DLC trilogy fixed it somewhat, though. Each of the 3 absolutely massive areas in the DLCs have a lot of shortcuts and loops, especially the final DLC area (Eleum Loyce).
