Yeah, these are very nicely done - I can see that plenty of talent and effort went into making them, but I feel the same way as Nuclear. I don't think I've ever actually played any card game without the classic design. Can't say why that is. Though come to think of it, I haven't played any card games at all in long time.

 

I'm that way too -not wanting to use game collector's items. Not that I have that many, but still.

I have this Duke Nukem Manhattan project key chain that has become "rare" over the years because apparent reasons. If I were to explain why it's rare, I have a feeling I would over-complicate the explanation and confuse you. For the sake of the conversation, just know that it is rare. Anyway, I had it in its original packaging since the time the game came out and was always afraid to open because of its "value." About six months ago, I did the unthinkable and opened it *gasp*. I'm glad I did. Ever since then, I always fiddle around with the key chain when I'm, say, waiting for something or someone at a place because its that cool! Then sometimes I just stare at it because it cool. I have even gotten people on the street asking me where I got it. . The point is (and I might sound like I'm being pushy, but I'm not) you might get a better experience if you use the cards among friends -unless, of course, you are thinking of selling them in the future and wish to keep them new.

I don't know, now that I read over what I said, I do sound pushy .

I've never really learned all the hands in poker, so I can't say I'm a true poker player. Not much a fanatic of the game either, for the same reason, and because I don't have any friends who would care to play poker *damn* :heh:. Really, the only card games I learned how to play are Crazy Eights, Speed, and Caravans, from Fallout New Vegas. Out of those three, Caravans is my favorite (only problem, though, is that no one that I know, except TotalAaron, knows how to play it ).
