Obsidian itself is a great company and has been releasing some pretty sweet games itself. I'm curious to see how this great designer will influence the Obsidian games. I wonder if we will be able to see his input and be able to tell.

Wow, gotta be scary for blizzard. Whenever you lose an iconic developer in the industry, you're basically feeding the competition all your secret weapons...

I was under the impression that Blizzard has people coming and going all the time. Apparently (don't know if this is true) they have been hiring more contractors rather than full time workers since they can make sure that these workers work more efficiently. So rather than have the same set designers, programmers etc working in sync to make a brilliant game, they have different talented people come in for specific projects then leave. In this way, I don't think Blizzard really loses much.

A shame to see people leaving Blizzard, but I don't think it'll make a huge impact on there game development as a whole. It's a good pick up for Obsidian, though.
