I really enjoyed Tekkit and Feed The Beast but Tekkit seemed what Minecraft *should be* . I love having industry and many automatic devices and farms and Tekkit gave me that. Besides that the magic path is very very nice and satisfying and I like to combine it with the industry path.

Did you played Miencraft with mod packs?
If yes what mod packs and what is your opinion regarding them?

I often play Minecraft with mod packs that drastically alter the game. I too love industry and the modernization these mods can give. Although I do also enjoy role playing mods which add magical elements to the game, it just allows you to have further customization in your world. I often switch between Tekkit and Feed the Beast, although sometimes I hand make a package so I can have mods that aren't in packages (Such as Mo' Creatures and Better Than Wolves)

I play the console edition so I haven't really got to play around with mods. This tekkit mod sounds very interesting though. I'm might have to give the PC version a try but I don't think my laptop would be able to run it very well.

I too have the console version for Xbox 360. They're not necessarily mods, but I like some of the skins that you can buy to mix up look of your characters and some of the NPCs.

You two should definitely get the PC edition if at all possible, I'm normally more of a console gamer but Minecraft on the console doesn't even compare to it for PC. Mod Support, Dedicated Servers, Plugins it is astounding how much of a difference there is between the two. Minecraft isn't a demanding game by itself, if you install numerous mods than it can take quite a bit of ram, I recommend playing it for sure though.

I love the Portal mod for it. I always make creepers go into an infinity loop.

When I 1st tried it no I didn't like the game my friend told me to try a couple of mods I don't remember which ones it made the game a tad more enjoyable, but still I felt it was not worth my time to play the game.

I like the Complex mod... I also like the Skyblock mod. Both of them really test your creative potential, which I think is what Minecraft is all about.

For those interested in magic stuff. I suggest you play Hexxit, it's very very complex (as complex as Feed The Beast) but based more on magic. Also, the new Tekkit is decent enough but it upset me because there is no more Equivalent Exchange which was my favorite part of Tekkit. In addition to that, the new Tekkit has put accent on the technological path, you can go to the moon, build a power armor and so on.

I usually don't play without mods. I really like the Feed The Beast modpack, as it feels like you're developing a whole new technology. I'm a little bit into Thaumcraft, too, so FTB is just the perfect modpack for me.

I play minecraft on the mod Hexxit. Hexxit adds a lot of more aspects to the game. It comes with pleny of mod's installed that make huge towers, Giant swords, etc. If you would like to watch some gameplay on Hexxit than search up captainsparklez on youtube he has an amazing series about is.

I like Skyblock. The idea that I start off on a tiny floating island and go through challenges to make it bigger and bigger really interest me. It's pretty hard at first because I'm not knowledgeable enough about cobble generators and stuff like that, but it's a learning process and something that can help me when I'm playing regular Survival.

DIdn't use any mainly because I don't really pay attention to custom stuff not in the main game. These add ons seem interesting. I'm not playing Minecraft now so if I get back on it, I'm going to give them a try.

I usually play with tekkit and whatever texture pack I want to use that week as I like to change it up quite often.

I only have one texture pack installed, I don't like the rest. The game, as it is, for me is just perfect, I don't see why I would want to mod it in whatever way.

I do like the too many items mod for when I play single player. I like feed the beast for when I want to play multiplier. It just seems so much better and adds quite a lot to the game like the full mechanic network.

I really like the texture packs on PC. I think it's criminal that PC gamers can get these for free, while on console it become pretty expensive if you buy a lot of them. Some of the texture packs are great, and can add to the role playing aspects of Minecraft.

Haha, I stick to the texture packs. Sometimes you just want to live in a Steampunk world, or want the graphics in the game to more closely resemble the vision you've created in your head so that you can turn it into something tangible.

Tekkit was pretty cool, for a time. But personally it just didn't keep me interested for longer than a month or so. I eventually went back to vanilla minecraft.

I have a customized Painterly pack (I made the paintings, and played with a few of my stone textures for fun), but I like the normal look too..

For mod packs, I've tried a few. Old/New school Tekkit (or Technic if you prefer), Feed The Beast, and Big Dig a few times. I really liked old tekkit for a long time, but could never get a good grasp on the engines, and the bigger builds. I'd get lost at macerators *lol*. My friend sort of had to hold my hand and give me the "My First Tekkit" tasks to do. Big Dig was just overwhelming. There was stuff to mine in so many places my ADD went nuts.
