Different gas masks?

    Will you be able to buy different types of gas masks or filters in Metro Last light?
    1 filter will cost more because it lasts longer. Same with the gas masks.

    Yeah, that would be interesting. If they made the worst gasmask like the gasmask on Ranger Mode Hardcore, then the others could all go up from there. Yes, excellent idea, Earth! :)

    good idea, but I wouldn't want it to be too silly as I do like the survival part of metro.

    filters that last slightly longer with a new mask would mean having a few type of these filters scattered around the map.

    Also a mask that withstands a bit more damage and does not break/crack as easily.

    Apart from that I wouldn't want anything else.

    Yeah, the survival part is a must. I only ever bought filters on Ranger Hardcore, since they always lasted for years on the other difficulties. Hopefully you will need to buy them in Last Light, or die. :)

    That is an interesting idea, to bad the chances of such an idea making it to the full game are 0 to none. But we can dream :).

    Realy nice idea you have there but as chrome said its a small chance that it make it to the game.
    But still its a chance, maybe not that many with different stats but perhaps one or two if were lucky :D
    Or atleast just the ranger gasmask, if so then Im happy

    it sounds like a good idea, it would give the game more depth and variety. But i highly doubt the developers would do it

    It was definitely easy on anything except ranger, I don't think I purchased a single filter lol

    Personally, I just don't see the point. It adds nothing to the gameplay, seeing as you can always take another gas mask from a corpse if you run out, and there are no shortage of dead stalkers on the surface.

    Yeah it would be good to have a different mask deppending on your gear,in Metro 2033 there should've been another gas mask if you had ranger gear,like the rest of the rangers..

    This is actually something that I had noticed. While I don't necessarily think the effects of the gas mask should be any different; there should at least be a specific animation for pulling down the ranger's gas mask, which is of course part of the helmet, and not something pulled over your head like the standard model.

    The only thing is, while it would make sense for that gas mask to be harder to break than a regular one (the visor is smaller), I can't think of a way in which that could be implemented without further devaluing the stealth suit (assuming there is one of course, all the rangers seem to sneak about in full body armour).
