DLC? Try fixing the game first!

    Plenty of people have encountered the enemies frozen in place glitch in Last Light. As of now, I haven't heard the developer or publisher address this issue. Have you? But they ARE beginning to push the DLC.

    Why do so many companies expect you to buy more of their stuff when the first thing they sold you hasn't even been fixed yet? At LEAST address the issue, no?

    I'm ready to put this game aside unfinished, let alone buy any DLC!

    THIS is one of the main reasons I wait a few months to buy a new game. Beside the price going down, I HOPE all the bugs have been patched. But I liked 2033 so much that I wasn't willing to wait on Last Light. That'll teach me.

    also it depends on how widespread is the bug.
    Also some "bugs" are not exactly problem of the game per se.. bad drivers.. bad installation..etc.. can cause these glitches.

    hence why you see a few players who have encountered weird glitches and a reinstall of the game fixed it (in other cases.. the change of drivers)

    my recommendation is.. always check your computer carefully before bashing and blaming the developer at all costs; when you're 100% sure it is the program.. then asking for support is the answer.

    btw.. I dont think this forum is for support either way o_O
    doesnt 4d has a support section?

    Have you submitted any bug reports and kept an eye on the troubleshooting thread as opposed to passively-agressively bashing and generalising companies on the forum the devs don't even visit?

    The problem has occurred with the game on pc, xbox, and ps3. Look it up.

    And if the patch comes with the dlc, then I have to buy the dlc to get the patch? I think not.

    Okay, I take that as a no.

    Has anyone submitted a bug report with that problem? Which system software version/hardware does that bug happen on? What levels, after which player actions?

    Or is it more like this?

    I don't think the devs can magically guess the conditions required to reproduce and consequently fix the bug that way.

    No, i have not submitted a bug report as I'm pretty sure the devs must be aware of it by now.

    As I said, it happens on all platforms and seems to happen throughout the game.

    Examples can be found on youtube. I can't seem to post URLs yet.

    My point was that I hate when companies try to sell you new content without even having stepped up and addressed the main product. Makes me feel like they just want the $ instead of a loyal customer.

    I'm not going to report a problem, but I'm gonna be pissed about people not fixing it.

    Your point so far seems that you'd rather keep bashing companies than helping fix what's broken.

    Submit a report through the link above, describe the bug, write up everything they require, here is a copy of what you need for a PC version...

    ...and wait for the fix.

    That's how it's supposed to work with every developer.

    This is kinda the reason why I hoped that this forum wouldn't get too many people.

    The game was just released dude calm down. Every game has bugs and to tell the truth I didn't find one bug during my playthroughs of last light. Just calm down dude shesh/

    I like it how people are "NO PATCH NO DLC BUY! FIX THAT BUG FIRST!" even though the game has been out in just a month. Patches cost money and considering 4A are rather small studio they might be collecting as much as they can info and push as much as possible fixes in one patch with the DLC. What you can do if you want to help the developers fix that and other bugs is submit it to a webpage or a forum,like Komodo suggested (Deep Silver's forums for example/Last Light's Facebook page/4A games Facebook page) so the developers can be aware of it. Or you can just...you know,whine about it.

    I have played this game and finished it about 4 times, and i haven't seen ANY noticeable bugs. If you have a bug it doesn't mean EVERYONE has the same bug as you do. The right move from you would be to go and report the problem, not to come here and rage/complain.

    Yeah got a funny bug, when i wanted to punch commie in the face, game saved checkpoint and when i failed mission, I reloaded that checkpoint but couldn't punch him anymore, even couldn't choose a weapon, also I wasnt getting any damage.

    speaking of bugs. I'm gonna reinstall the game and delete all my progress.. Im still getting that nasty bugs where all the page diaries are not counted when I click on "continue" (Ie, all those pages I got from past chapters.. vanish and appear like I didnt get them when I continue the game )

    kinda frustrating since I still lack that achievement.

    Played the game through 4 times so far.. haven't encountered any bugs yet :E

    Metro games, both of them, have surprisingly small amount of bugs from my own experience. There is even less of those game-breaking bugs that would completely stop your progress, in fact I have not experienced any and community reported only few. Stuttering was probably the most prominent bug on the technical side.

    I do not see a reason to be angry at 4A Games or Deep Silver support for MLL considering how well their game performs. I recall several major studios and blockbuster games to have problems incomparable to MLL even if their budget was literally unlimited.

    I have completed the game 4 times now and I can count on fingers of one hand bugs that I have encountered: (1) enemy freeze, (2) weapon/UI freeze, (3) game freeze for extended period of time and (4) game crash.
    Their frequency is very far in between their repeated occurrence, if it repeated at all.

    Enemies freezing is weird bug that seemingly appears very randomly. However, it is very easy to fix by restarting last checkpoint. I have encountered it during my last playthrough but reloading last checkpoint quickly fixed it.

    DLC usually errs the positive side when it comes to DLC; due to the ridiculous costs that Microsoft charges for every patch, most developers these days lump bug fixes in with the same patch that adds achievements and generally makes room for the DLC. This patch is downloaded by everyone too, chill out.

    *Ignores tutorials for mechanics*
    THEY NEVER EXPLAINED THE MECHANICS THIS IS BULLSHIT FIX YOUR FUCKING GAME THIS IS UNPLAYABLE WORST PIECE OF SHIT EVER
