Do you craft your own weapons are do you use what's around you. Crafting is going to be avalible in dragon age 3, but I do not think I'll use it. I have never had the patience to gather up resources and make my own things when I can find things that are just as good.sure you can craft something to make It the way you want, but looks are not all that important go me.

That depends only on the power of the weapons and armor available through craft, if they are on-par or inferior to the ones you buy and find then it is pointless to craft them.
I love crafting so I hope they are some of the best items in game.

I always want to craft my own weapons if I can get better weapons out of it. I like spending time gathering resources to craft new items, because usually when you craft a new weapon it is better than the one you randomly pick up somewhere. I too hope that the crafting in this game will make it possible to craft better weapons than you can pick up.

I don't normally. It becomes too confusing to keep track of what items are needed for what, so I usually just use whatever weapon I find/am given and sell the parts needed for crafting weapons. I also never know what weapons I am supposed to have at a certain point in the story, so I never know what to aim for while crafting...it's easier to use random weapons you find/are given, and look at the stats.

If it makes sense to craft weapons, why not? But if I'm constantly getting ones that are more powerful than the one I have already created, what would be the point? Of course it also depends on how complex the crafting mechanic is. I really don't want to spend a lot of time on perfecting my equipment.

It depends on the game, but in general I've found crafted weapons end up being inferior to boss drops and so they are only decent for a short time before needing to be replaced. Considering the amount of effort it takes to craft weapons and armor, it almost always seems pointless to me. So in general no, I don't.

In dragon age 3 I prefer crafting my own weapons but sometimes I also like to explore the map around and use the weapons I can find.

Crafting have been one of my passions so far when it comes about MMORPG games. If DragonAge 3 comes with crafting options I'll sure craft my own weapons.

I normally skip crafting weapons. I find it cumbersome to carry so much ore and other materials around, especially when I can just go find it or buy it. However, with all the mods I added to Skyrim, I find that I am more likely to get the materials over time and store it in my home to create a weapon that I want. This adds some sentimental value to it, more so in long games.

A cool system would be if you could constantly upgrade the items that you craft so that it could keep up with the quality of items that the monsters are dropping.
Imagine you see an armor that's reinforced in a unique way, you could use that knowledge to improve the armor you made a few levels ago.

Crafting weapons is almost always the best option for getting the best gear. It's pretty time consuming in some cases, though.
