So I wanted to post a little survey. I would like to know if any of you guys create your own mods/texture packs too or just use the existing material?

I just use other peoples texture packs or mods, I don't see why I should waste my time making one myself, unless I had a really good idea.

I just use the existing mod packs and textures. I don't know how to program a mod, so a custom one is out of the question. Making a texture pack doesn't involve much skill, so I could theoretically do that. I don't have the talent nor the time to make myself a custom one. With so many texture packs out there, it would be stupid to try and make my own, since it wouldn't look nearly as good as the others.

Exactly I have neither the skill nor the drive to learn the skill of making mods and the texture pack scene is already saturated with excellent packs that I could never top.

I've never really messed around with texture packs just because I've never actually found one I like, sadly.

DokuCraft is awesome. Everyone should try it at least once.

What is DokuCraft? Is it a single mod or a modpack? What makes it awesome?

I create my own mods. I use this program to help make the mods for me. You don't need any coding language. It is really easy to use. Also they add more features every update. I love the program.

I tried creating a texture pack, but it was too time consuming for me. I just stick to using the mods that other people have created because they're often better than anything I could do. I like plain and simple rather than complicated.

Creating a texture pack is both hard and very time consuming, it's just best to stick with the default texture pack or other ones.

It's a really nice texture pack that makes everything look amazing. I personally like it just because of how nice the wood looks.

Okay, thanks for clearing it up. I thought it was a modpack, not a texture pack. I will give it a try nonetheless.

I just find pre-made ones. I have no idea how to even start going about making a mod or even if i would want to try it. It just isn't in my skill set.

I've tried to make my own texture packs, but they usually come out poorly so I just revert to the default. I rarely even use texture packs anyway, but if I do, I just look online for a good one.
