Do you get lost easily while exploring?

I get lost all the time lol. I often have trouble finding my home again if I go to far. I know there are items to help you out with this but still. What about you?

Yeah, I do. That's why I try to build up a long tower of blocks and set my render distance to high so that I know how to find my way back to my house.

I have the same problem as you, every time I wonder off I have to end up building a new house. Since I always lose my house, I typically build a house close to a mine and set up camp there and don't wonder off far. I also lay a track of torches when I go far distances so I can get back, but sometimes that doesn't even work!

I used to get lost every time I stepped more than 50 blocks away from my house when I first started. Now, I make sure to keep track of where I'm going in order to get back safely. You can also mark your base; meaning to put a pillar of blocks on top of your house to easily locate where it is.

I get lost really easily! I was really excited when they first came out with the compass because I thought it would go right to my house but a lot of the time it just leads me to my spawn point. I may be using it wrong, but I think if you could choose where the compass points, it would be way more useful.

I play nomad survival. I'm always lost. :D

I die when I get lost underground though. I have to take real care to remember where I am and where I came from!

I can retrace my steps back to my house if I was in the open . But cave exploring is a whole new different story, a few blocks in and I'm lost in the dark.

It is very annoying that I get lost all the time. I have a very hard time getting home, as I usually forget to write doen my coordinates. To prevent this, I usually put a temporary cobblestone pillar near my house, with a torch on top. Later, I replace this with a tall tower of some kind.

I do that sometimes as well, but instead of putting it on top of my base I just put it next to it.

I do this in every game, it is very similar to how I shop when I am out of game. I am off doing my own then and then something catches my eye, then something else and before I know it I am at least 100 feet from where I originally wanted to go to.

Never. I always carry a map with me so I can always find my way back. If I accidentally forget my map I would just put block of dirt or sand to show me the way back

I don't get lost, as long as I have a map. However, when I'm playing on, for example a computer, I always make sure to keep note of the direction I'm going in. I also try my best to memorize or make landmarks that I'll pass by. In my opinion, nothing sucks more than creating a home, storing all of your food and tools in a chest, and then going off and having completely no idea where your house and all of those items are at!

Yes, I get lost quite often. That's why it's important to have a bed so you know where you'll respawn when you die. lately I've been crafting a ton of torches and dropping them within line of site to be able to retrace my steps. Unfortunately this tactic doesn't work well underground where you don't move in straight lines.

I usually tend to wander off and get a bit lost, and it takes me a good hour or so to finally find my way back. Usually when I set off on an expedition I'll load up on torches and create a sort of "trail of breadcrumbs" out of torches to help guide me back at night. I also try and build a compass as soon as possible, so that I can wander off without worrying about getting back (eventually), and it saves me from littering the ground with torches too.

Im always getting lost! Mostly in caves! If it is dark and I fall a 20 block hole down to another cave, I am screwed! But it is always fun though!

I tend to get lost more over less. I tend to wander my way into situations I can't get myself out of, like...well simply getting lost. lol

haha well most of the time I can orient myself. But sometimes, especially underground, there are these massive cave complexes that are very easy to get lost in because there are so many openings/tunnels that go every which way. So yeah its easy to get lost down there, especially because the compass doesn't really tell you how to navigate through the tunnels so its a bit useless down there.

I think the only way to do it is just block off passages that are dead ends.

Same here, damn caves are pretty hard to explore. I always leave marks of where I came from but if I went too deep down I'd get lost easily and can't retrace my steps, sometimes I just dig up until I see the sun.

I don't personally refer to get as being lost, I just think of it as another way to find out more, and have more fun on minecraft.

Except really when exploring caves lol. You do get lost and it is hard to go back where you came from, digging in deeper will give you nice rewards though.
