Do you keep yourself updated with Minecraft snapshots?

I have a question that I'm dying to ask: do you guys keep yourself updated with Minecraft snapshots? Do they interest you? Do you watch YouTube videos on them or do you just search everything up on minecraftwiki? I believe that the latest snapshot added underwater temples into the game.

Not really. I mostly spend my time in online so I don't really care about the new minute details that are being added. I just like to have fun with whatever I can find.

Personally, I don't keep up with snapshots. The problem is, the snapshots are previews of the new update. So, that means that the snapshots could have some bugs that you don't know about. Then, it ruins your game, which can be sad if you don't have a back up.

Nope, I used to keep track of them quite often, but in games like Minecraft, I don't really think that's necessary. It would make sense if you don't have enough time to play the game itself since you won't actually find those certain things on your own, and you'd still like to keep up to date and set your priorities while playing to potentially experience those specific things, but while being unaware of them and finding about them by yourself just makes it all seem a lot better.

But do you at least see what's new in Minecraft when they're released? Do you watch someone's videos (like CaptainSparklez's) to find out?

I don't really care for snapshots since I don't really play minecraft all that much anymore. Each snapshot just adds a feature that's possibly coming out in the next update. I'd rather wait so they can iron out the bugs and all features are on there.

I don't really play snapshots as my main Minecraft build since they are usually unoptimised and not a stable release yet, hence the name "snapshot". Another thing is that snapshots very rarely get supported by mod authors and multiplayer servers as the proper server files or finalised game data has not been released yet.
However what I do with snapshots though is that I create a profile utilising the latest snapshot and check on it for about 20 minutes each week so I can keep up to date with the development going on with Minecraft.

I don't pay attention to them at all. I just wait for them to fix all the bugs and add all the features.

Yes, I personally like to keep update with the snapshots. If I see one that interests me, I usually go test it out myself, such as the slime block and sea temple snapshots. Sethbling is usually the one that informs me about the new snapshots.

Personally, I strongly agree. I love seeing what will come in the next minecraft update, so I love seeing the changelog for Minecraft. I also like seeing which bugs have been fixed so if one was bothering me I can enjoy Minecraft without it finally.

Well, seeing what's up can be great and all, but I did mentioned bugs. The bugs in the snapshots can be hidden and can potentially destroy your world. But then again, is it worth taking the risk just to have a preview of the next update?

Lately I've been losing interest in Minecraft soI haven't been keeping up to date. The changes seem to be minor and don't add much in the way of gameplay. The minecraft hype has left my system long ago. I also don't want to get attached to a feature that may change in the next release.

I don't really do all that. I leave that sort of thing to the really hardcore players of Minecraft, I have watched a few videos, but never done anything with the whole screen shot sort of business.

I don't even touch the profiles until there's an update on the servers that I play on. If the server goes from 1.7.9 to 1.7.10 or any other situation similar, that's the only time I'll change my version.

I usually don't bother with the snapshots, I can see what's new from the people I subscribe to on YouTube and a few other places, and if there's something really interesting I might look, but I usually don't bother. I feel like it's worth waiting for the stable version straight from mojang if I can.
