    I am really broke this month, after a death in the family things are tight. My kids, teenagers, have been wonderful. I came up with an idea, and wanted to run it past you guys. Do you think that my kids would take gold for allowance instead of their allowance? I normally pay $20 a week cash each kid, how much gold do you think is fair to give them? And, would paying their allowance in gold be against the TOS?

    Well, this is an interesting question. I'm looking forward to any answers to this. Because then I would be able to use it for my nephew and niece too :D

    Hehe, see it sounds like a good idea. I have a live WOW account, but I don't play it often. However, I have lots of gold, which is just a benefit of playing vanilla wow and keeping up with the AH. I know some people complain of my prices, but if I am allowed to give the gold to my kids in lou of allowance, it would be cool!

    It would be a pretty cool idea for a cash substitute, especially if your kids play WoW a lot and you don't have anything to do with that gold.

    Well the timing just didn't line up with my kids for that one, but in terms of accepting virtual currency that they could use in a game, I think that it would have worked just fine when they were really into their gaming phases. It did come and go though, so it would have to be timed right, but they might respond better than cash at some points.

    That is true, timing is going to be an important factor. It is just really hard to keep your kids addicted to video games when all they want to do is play football and spend time playing outside with friends. Luckily, we are not in football season and it has been to cold for them to run around!

    If there is no other choice then I guess it would be alright. I would be a little hesitant though because I would prefer it if their interests were a bit more diversified and having only wow gold would most likely keep them only focused on this one hobby. Though like I said if money is that tight and this is the only option then I guess it would be understandable as long as it is just temporary.

    All I'll say is that if a blizzard GM bans you for paying your kids gold because of a death in the family, just post it all over reddit and stuff and watch the media backlash and their shares fall. They will regret it.

    Well! according to me if your kids play ti for long hrs then I don't think that you shouldn't pay them in gold.Just Go ahead and pay and with a smiling face as you both will be happy for it.And if somehow it will be banned then it should be another case but for now be happy and have fun with your kids.
