The first time I played minecraft was on the 360 and I fell in love. I know it's very limited compared to PC versions so I was wondering which one you guys prefer. I also plan on getting the Xbox One version when it is released. I'm looking forward to the bigger worlds and bigger multiplayer.

I definitely prefer the PC edition, I also have it for the 360 and have trouble comparing the two. I know I sound like a broken record but they really don't compare. I greatly enjoy the dedicated server support instead of playing on each others worlds, plus plugins are extremely awesome to have. To each their own though, whatever makes you happy and brings you enjoyment.

I tried once on the Xbox 360. It was quite interesting so to speak but it never got me hooked. I don't like the blockiness of things so I only had one session before quitting altogether.

PC version has a lot more stuff to do. Plus you can go online with random people instead of just your friends.

When I tried it it was for the PC even though I never really did care for the game that much, but I am sure their are more mods and stuff on the PC version I think.

I like the PC version better. Like I said in another thread, it has more content and mods. Also servers, which aren't on consoles, as far as I know

I first played Minecraft on PC and later on I've started to play it on PS3. I guess there are things to love and hate about both. Personally, I just love being able to use a controller to control everything.

I don't like the controls for Minecraft of the console editions, also they are still very limited and can't be modded. I'll stick to the PC version I think.

PC all the way. Using a gamepad just feels too clunky on this type of game and I prefer the speed and precision of a mouse anyway. That and a computer is more portable so you're not limited to only playing at home.

PC. Keyboard and mouse is superior and it always will be, you just can't compete with the performance. I also don't have much experience with consoles and all my games are on PC, so I like keeping it all there.

I have played Minecraft on both systems. I feel on the PC it is much better, the reason being is because the console minecraft does not have all the updates that the Computer has. Thus the PC being superior. Also there is plenty of servers that you can play on on the computer and not as many on the console.

I play on the PC. I've never tried it out for a console, but I can't imagine that I would enjoy it anywhere near as much. For one, all my friends that play it do so on PC, so I wouldn't really know anyone to play with me on a console. Also, I love the freedom of the mouse and keyboard, as opposed to a limiting gamepad. And finally, there are many more mods to choose from on PC, and for free.

I am not at all surprised to see that PC is winning this vote! I don't have an X-Box but I've seen my boyfriend and his brother play Minecraft on console and I don't have any urge to try it. It seems like PC has way more features. The fact alone that it has infinite space is a huge thing for me, and I don't think you can even install Mods on the X-Box version, can you? I think they should rename X-Box Minecraft to Minecraft Lite, because it really is a smaller, less impressive version.

With the mods that are coming out on a semi-monthly basis I would say that console users are missing out on the customized versions. If they came out with cross platform servers and gave me the ability to install mods on the Xbox I would totally play it on the console.

I play on PC and cannot imagine myself playing on console. I feel console systems are too limiting, even if their technologies are catered to gaming solely. With PC, I can make numerous tweaks, customizations and patches come often. I also find it easier to maintain mods. Downloading stuff just comes down to what I have available as my monthly bandwidth cap. Since I am allowed to download up to 250GB's per month, this is not a problem normally.

PC definitely has my vote. I started playing it on PC but i tried Xbox, and there is no comparison. With PC you gain the ability to mod, and have a whole network of multiplayer servers to go on, as well as a stronger and much larger community.

Xbox version is more like a stripped down version. Even though the Xbox version has been steadily receiving new contents but it still doesn't offer the same level of freedom as the PC version.

I've been playing Minecraft on PC since around alpha. I've actually never played it on a console so my opinion may be a bit warped. For me I imagine that playing it on a console with a controller would feel a bit clunky without the brilliant instruments of input that are of course the keyboard and mouse!

I greatly prefer the PC version. There is more to the game, and a lot more variety of people to interact with. I may try the Xbox One version though, since that might offer a bit more than the 360. I have not looked into it since I play on PC.
