Do you play with a texture-pack/resource-pack?

Personally, I like to play with the default texture pack. I've got a HD default texture pack installed, but I don't like it though, as it destroys the game atmosphere. So, do you play with a texture pack (or resource pack as it's called in 1.7)?

Normally I just play with the vanilla textures, they seem right to me. I don't care for Sphax which is currently very popular, it just seems to cartoonish for me. I used to like Dokucraft but it isn't really up to par anymore. 've made a few of my own but have always just liked the original textures.

I play with the Soartex Fanver texture pack. It's clean and easy on the eyes. I don't like the vanilla textures because they look chaotic for me.

I've tried other textures in the past, but I keep finding myself just going back to the vanilla ones. I am not really sure why, other than that I just really like the feel of the base game.

I've been using Sphax since it really looks good and it is very well optimized. I like the textures for tools and since I'm playing Tekkit more often than vanilla, the textures for the Tekkit items are very nice in my opinion.

I really only use the default textures. It feels like the way the game was meant to be played to me. I've tried other textures, but they don't really feel like Minecraft to me if that makes sense.

I used to play with texture packs a lot. But as nowadays I play less often keeping texture packs updated when I update the game is more of a hassle than simply playing with vanilla textures. The vanilla textures themselves aren't really that bad, I've never heard of anyone being unable to play the game without a texture pack.

I did play with texture packs a lot. Now, I don't really use them much. I prefer shaders. They're just beautiful! I rarely use texture packs. With shaders, the game is beautiful enough already. No need for texture packs.

I don't use any texture or graphic mods. I really only use content mods or changes. I like the way the base game looks so why would I change it?

I use texture packs only for artistic reasons, for creating wallpapers. I usually play on standard texture packs, because playing with texture pack it's a bit complicated for me.

I don't use texture packs, since my PC is quite slow and can't run even the normal game at normal settings.

No , I don't play with a TP. I think that the the textures in the game are just fine. If I get a new TP I will have to learn all the new block textures. That's what's keeping me back.

I just play with the vanilla pack. I feel like the HD packs or whatever take away from the classic Mincraft experience. That's why I try not to watch "Lets Players" that have lots of texture packs installed.

I use the enb ultra realism preset and I can't imagine playing without it. The original are so blotchy and distorted it kills the game for me.

My computer is absolutely horrible so I use a 8X8 pixel texture pack. It's alright but I hope to get a new computer soon.

I haven't actually played with a texture pack before, though I've been curious about doing so. Is Sphax pretty much the go to pack to try?

I play with one. I feel it enhanced the appearance since the one I chose didn't look too far from vanilla, but at the same time it helped me identify materials from afar.

Horrible enough to not run Minecraft with textures?

I agree with mmmaske. I use a texture pack for the same reasons, or perhaps just because I find the images to be amusing. Although, at the same time, I do agree that a texture pack sometimes ruins the atmosphere. It is fun to apply new texture packs and explore, almost like it's a new world of Minecraft. I like the idea the Minecraft can be modded in such ways, giving the world a feel that it truly is yours to do with whatever you wish.
