Do you see yourself playing Minecraft in 5 years?

Will you still be playing Minecraft in 5 years? It's as simple a question as that. I'll probably still be dabbling in the game by then, but I doubt it'll still be one of my favorite games. You can do an infinite number of things in Minecraft, but everything gets boring eventually.

No, honest.. By then I'm hoping a game that has better creative mode comes along and dethrones it because minecraft vanilla is pretty limited..

We'll see what other game become more popular than Minecraft. But you never know!

I may come back to it for the sake of nostalgia.

Most likely not, I will be out of college and probably have a full time job and be too busy.

Nope, not at all. I'll be busy playing other games and I'll probably have a job by then. Then again I don't want to spend eight years playing a block game either.

I've been playing the same games all through out my life. So I'm pretty sure the probability is quite high that the same will happen with MC. This type of game lends itself perfectly to long term replay.

I can't see myself playing Minecraft in 5 years time. I will be 25 by then, finishing my degree in Sociology and English. I will probably be in a serious relationship, thinking about my future, perhaps searching for a job or thinking about my round-the-world trip. Whatever I will be doing, I highly doubt it I will have the time to play games like Minecraft.

Oh yes easily. If I find a game I like I will replay it tons of times. if I get bored I just play something else or a new game I bought. I will always come back to those games I love the most though.

Well I'm not really sure. It's not the most important thing in my life, and I might be pressed for time, so probably not a lot.

I honestly highly doubt it. I've been playing Minecraft for about a year and I've already gotten kind of sick of it..Vanilla, anyway.. I can sometimes enjoy it again if I have some mods installed. So yeah, not really.. Unless some major changes happen.. There will probably just be another game that catches mine and everyone else's attention.

I'm pretty sure Minecraft is already close to or even past it's prime. It still was and is one of the most influential games in recent years, just because it goes to show that you don't need fancy graphics or huge development studios to create something worth playing. It kind of set a milestone for indie-development and will be remembered for that a long time.

Not really, I would probably be working in a job or something like that, occasionaly playing some PC games but not having the time to play Minecraft.

I doubt it. I'm the kind of person that gets antsy and moves on after playing a game for a while. Although I have played minecraft much longer than most other games I play.

I don't see why not, not seriously but something to mess around in every once and a while.

Probably not, especially if a better game comes out which is more likely than me playing this one in 5 years.

Well it depends if Minecraft is still pumping out fresh. I mean, for a game, a span of five years is almost a lifetime, if you can't make your game better in the span of five years expect gamers to just throw it out the window. But as for me, I don't I will be. I think I've seen the most Minecraft has to offer for so unless the guys at Majong has something cool up their sleeve when Minecraft 2 or 3 or 5 comes out, then I guess I'll still be playing.

No, I don't even see myself playing the game in the next day. Well games are bound to die out at some point, except for Pokémon that game is immortal. As far as Minecraft goes, there's really not much to do with it considering the game as a whole. Sure the game is great but it's bound to get stale, same as other games. But if they add a bit more variety to the game, maybe Mojang should consider making the game more open for modders, then it might last longer than 5 years but if it just sits there doing the same thing, it might gather some moss.

Minecraft has set up a new opportunity for more advanced game developers. If they were smart, they'd bank on its popularity and make something with more difficulty and interactive gameplay.

Of course! I see myself playing Minecraft on the day I'm dying. But that's if the developers make something cool out of the game instead of letting it stale out and die.
