Do you spend real money?

I've only spent money getting RP once. It was when my favorite champion (BLitz, who I played almost exclusively at that point) got a legendary skin.

I've also gotten RP as gifts. It's not all that worth in my opinion to spend money. Especially with the new hex tech stuff. But if you do DON'T WASTE IT ON CHAMPIONS UNLESS THEY'RE ON SALE. ITS A TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!

Also use your refunds wisely, because you don't ever get more

 

I must not have a very popular opinion on this though, because alot of people spend alot of money on this FREE-TO-PLAY game

 

I haven't spent a cent in the past year, simply because I haven't been playing League as much as I used to. I spent 50$ on the game throughout the years, and I only bought skins with the RP.

Haven't spent a cent on the game, yet I've unlocked ~80% of the hero roster through gameplay and the occasional free Riot points.

 

God no! I mean I love playing the game but not enough to throw away real money for. I mean sure it's tempting sometimes but come on, it's bad enough that I always want to punch myself every time I play the game let alone have my money on the line.

 

No, and I find spending real money on this just stupid, because you can only buy skins which give you no advantage at all. The game is fun as long as it's free, when you start spending on skins it begins to be more of an obsession than a hobby. Also if you like to spend on this game, you'd better spend on specialized keyboard and mouse and maybe a good microphone (since every one I talk with on Skype seems to have an airport in their home).

 

I've been playing the game for 5 years and I still haven't bought anything. However, I'm glad that in game boosts cannot be bought with real money. I just don't like giving out my money to to feel a tiny bit cooler, I guess.

 

No, I don't waste money on league. I still have a lot of skins on my account from friends and tournaments. I also have PBE accounts so if I want to look cool, i go there.

 

True story. The PBE basically just gives you everything. It's pretty cool and if you want to use all the skins, it's a great place to do so (if you can get in on a testing cycle )

 

Nah, I don't see the point of it, I started early so I have almost all the champions I play and the runes with pure IP grinding. Although if I started playing now I would be very tempted. On the other hand, with the new queue you don't need to have champions for your off roles. If you play top and support, you dont need to buy junglers, adcs and mid laners.

 

Sо whеn I stаrtеd plаying this gаmе, I wаs likе, "Why wоuld аnyоnе spеnd mоnеy оn аny оf thе stuff in thе gаmе".
But thе mоrе I gоt intо thе gаmе, I rеаlizеd hоw fun it wаs аnd hоw I wоuld likе tо hаvе mоrесhаmps, runеs, аnd еvеn runе pаgеs. I wаs соnvinсеd I wоuldn't spеnd mоnеy оn аnything.
Еvеn sоmеоf thе skins lооk аwеsоmе thаt wаnt thеm. I still hаvеn't spеnd аny mоnеy оn аnything, but I аm highly соnsidеring it.
Sо my quеstiоn is.... Whеn did yоu guys rеаlizеd yоu wоuld bе willing tо spеnd mоnеy.
Whаt wаs yоur first purсhаsе? Whаt pushеd yоu tо buy it?

 

I was exactly like that when I started to play, why would anyone do that with their money etcetera, I even mocked my friends for buying stuff like this but I've grown out of it and now I realize the more you get into the game the more things you learn and then you will see how just some extra champs would make the game more enjoyable, I do spend real money on games of all kinds.

I really think it's worth it.

 

Yep, If I'm contemplating asking my friend for a skin or doing something tournament rp. I just hop on the pbe and test it out there.

 

I used to, but I stopped. I bought almost all Draven's skin (not the new 2016 ones) and basically he was the reason why I would spend money in game. I stopped it when I got myself a girlfriend, though.

 

I spent money for Pink Taric. Totally worth it. Especially after seeing that rework prototype. I'm going to be the most fabulous champ in the rift!

 

I would spend money if I had any disposable income. Otherwise, you can easily play the game without spending a dime. It's certainly not necessary to spend money on the game.

 

I don't, and I'm glad that they made the game so that you can enjoy it for as long as you like without spending a single dollar on it, so I take advantage of that. I am not interested in buying anything because I don't like skins and I like to try out as many characters as possible so I just use the free rotation all the time.

 

No, don't feel like it. Skins aren't worth it in my honest opinion. Champions I can just get with IP for free, just by playing the game, although it's kind of a grind.
