Do you stock up on a lot of Phoenix Downs?

A Phoenix Down is an item in Final Fantasy that revives a fallen ally. At first, all I do is stock up on a lot of potions. When I learn the "cure" spell, then I stock on a lot of Phoenix Downs so that I would be able to revive an ally that died. I don't like to get to the point where I'm about to finish off a boss then get my party wiped out thus repeating the entire process. Sigh.

I did as well as a lot of potions just because I sucked at fighting most bosses and I had no clue on what I was doing especially towards the end of most games and I wanted to beat the bosses myself so I did not look up strategies on bosses to have an easier time and for me that made the game more fun!
